The staff is really kind and you can see that they care about the food and wines they serve to their guests.
The food menu is short and sweet 👌🏼 we ordered a bolognese and the platter with cold cuts and cheese. Exceptional, all of them. The bolognese was a fair portion, really tasty and did not feel heavy on the stomach. The platter was amazing as well, nice variety of 4 different cold cuts and 4 different types of cheese with some lightly pickles veggies (really subtle flavors to let the meats and cheese shine!)
When it comes to wine they a have an extensive variety. I chose to trust the person who took our order. I told them what type of wine I like, I told them that I’m open to try different varieties and I let them bring me their suggestion. Both wines I tried were very tasty and I could stay all night trying wines there 🙌🏼
All in all, highly highly recommend. Will definitely be back if I’m in...
Read moreOn our first night in Vienna, we wanted a relaxing evening and decided to taste some local wines. The location of the pub was not what we expected to look like, as it was not a classy part of the city. Upon entering the small pub, we were surprised at the very ordinary set-up and ambience. The young man who manages the pub, Laurence, was quiet and well-mannered, went about attending to customers in a professional and friendly manner. When he understood what we wanted he made a few suggestions, and brought local wines that paired with the food which he also prepared. We were pleased with his efforts at his small kitchen at the bar, especially the pasta was well-prepared. The local white wines were good, but the reds fell off the mark a little. Nevertheless, Laurence was sommelier, bartender, chef, waiter and manager all rolled into one made it the night for our quiet...
Read moreWhat a gem. We were looking for something out of the hustle of the ring area on our last night in Vienna and Klemo did not disappoint. The service was excellent. Our server spent as much time with us as we wanted talking about the wines we ordered and making recommendations. We started with an 8 glass tasting picked by our server. He explained why he had picked each and which ones we would want to focus on comparing. We happily sipped and munched on their charcuterie platter for ages, not feeling rushed at all. When we were ready for a main dish, he had an excellent recommendation for a wine to match each. The food was perfect, a small, well thought out menu that includes lots of small plates and handmade pasta that was excellent. If we lived in Vienna I am quite certain Klemo would be a regular...
