I think we came at the end of a chaotic lunch service. People were sitting together at table even though they obviously weren't together. Tables weren't cleared right as people left. I think it'd be a good idea to maybe have a few less tables. Once we managed to snag a table with the previous dishes still on it, the waiter came pretty fast to clear the table and to hand us the menus. We ordered a schnitzel and goulash with potato dumplings. While I absolutely loved the schnitzel but not really the goulash, my mother preferred it the other way around so it worked for us. The waiter was nice but you could tell there were too many guests for just the three we saw making the rounds.

Best place to be. In 1759, Emperor Franz I Stephan of Lorraine built a magnificent breakfast pavilion in the center of the Tiergarten. Adorned with opulent frescoes, oil paintings, and mirrors that have survived wars and bombs, this pavilion now houses the Kaiserpavillon café-restaurant, which still exudes imperial flair in an imperial ambience. The Imperial Pavilion is located in the heart of the Schönbrunn Zoo and is accessible from all entrances, with the shortest route via the main entrance at the Hietzing ticket counter.

This is the right place to start with a coffee your morning and to have a breakfast after a short walk in the Zoo... The place is beautiful and looks very historical with painted walls in 17-18 century style! Prices are really good it will worth every penny you will spend in there! I had a schnitzel and their house desert and I would say the Schnitzel is not dry, the portion is huge (We had it 1 for 2 and it was enough), it comes with a side, the desert was not too sweet or dry!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! They did not want to serve us drinks at a table from their restaurant saying that section is closed. If they would have told us that from the begining, we would have chosen another table from the restaurant (there were others unoccupied).

I mention that we were with 2 babies who fell asleep while waiting for service. They refused to serve us a drink there. We were then blocked on a restaurant without service (not even a drink...) waiting for the kids to wake up to move to another table to be PERMITTED to eat & drink.

Every parent knows how difficult it is to eat with babies awake and demanding for attention and it was the only time when we could have a quiet dining experience.

I wanted to speak to a manager, but another server came with the same lack of understanding. We could not even order a drink directly from the bar to drink it on the restaurant's premises at a table.

TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND LACKING THE BASIC...

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Avoid!

The food was genuinely bad – poorly prepared and unappetizing. To make matters worse, the hot chocolate was equally poor, tasting watery and lacking any real flavor.

What truly made this a negative experience, however, was the incredibly unprofessional behavior of the staff at the time of payment.

When asked if we wanted to tip, I politely declined, given the subpar quality of the food and drinks.

The waiter's reaction was completely unacceptable; he became loud and visibly offended, demanding to know why we weren't tipping. This created an extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing situation.

It's completely unprofessional for staff to loudly challenge a customer's decision regarding a tip, especially when the service and product quality have been so poor. I would not recommend this place and certainly won't...

We were 2 adults and 2 kids, looking for a light lunch. We ordered the cheese toast and fries which turned out to be the best dish in the table. We ordered a chicken breast dish with some pasta, it came out suspiciously fast, cold and dry. And the pasta was also cold and too much sauce. Terrible dish. I ordered the risotto, I waited for over 30 minutes to my dish, long after the rest of my family members have finished their food. Finally, after asking a few times if the order is coming out, came the dish. This was not a risotto, it was not made of rice, not sure what the specific product was. I tasted one spoon , and did not touch the rest of the dish. When we asked for the check, waiter did not care if I ate or not, Charged for a full dish, and never asked if everything was ok...
