Schwirtz Wein & Brot — Restaurant in Vienna

Update from 2024: it’s still an awesome place, but the plates are changed and now they do not look so exciting like it’s described in the review below. Anyway it’s a place I recommend

Original review: The best wine-and-cheese place we’ve found after 2 years stay in Vienna. Cheese plates are really awesome and prices are more than reasonable. The staff worth to have a separated review because it’s like you come to your friend’s family dinner. It’s just as awesome as you can imagine. One downside is ventilation inside: it’s a bit too warm and a bit not enough of oxygen, but summer comes and the terrace will be opened. I really recommend the place to anyone who’s planning to grab a bottle of wine or two and have a lovely cozy evening shared with friends or beloved ones. On the attached photo there is a cheese plate for 4 persons and I bet it may vary, but I bet again it will not disappoint you. A receipt is just for example of the prices back to spring 2023 (we would way more in other places that time).

Lovely wine bar in Vienna!🍷😊 The interior design is beautiful and cozy. There's a good variety of food to enjoy with the wine and we loved the Flammkuchen and the spread with bread. We have just fallen in love with this gem. The moment we walked through the door we felt very welcomed. Monika the owner is a joy. She recommended a house white and it was delicious. We then bought the Fruhroter Veltliner.
