Stomach en Detail — Restaurant in Vienna

Lovely courtyard. The food however felt like they’re were trying too hard (the carpaccio was covered in cheese and sauce, duck was over done and for some reason halved, no clear thought as to the pieces of the meal). Piece of plastic in my partner’s meal was simply compensated by not billing her second glass of wine.

After we moved inside after dark to enjoy the smell of old tobacco smoke, the night was crowned by watching the staff smell the bread before wrapping it up (for tomorrow?). Left a lot...

Our evening at Stomach was the highlight of our visit to Vienna! The ambiance was authentic and the food was excellent. The best bit, however, was the staff and the owner of the restaurant who made our evening extra special by making suggestions about local drinks and wines and just generally being very welcoming. You can really feel the love, passion and skillful care that has been put in both the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommend and will be visit there again on our next trip to Vienna....

Stomach - Astounding food!!

The cream of celery soup was AMAZING! We also had a melty sous vide ox cheek which was also great.

The wine choice (especially wine by the glass) and knowledge and hospitality from the host was beyond wonderful.

Do remember to book a table here; we couldn’t just walk up, we could reserve for the next night though. Popular and justifiably so....
