INCREDIBLY RUDE HANDLING! DON'T GO!

In itself a nice restaurant, but also we (native Viennese and regular local goers) had like apparently several others here an unbelievably bad experience with the waitress.

Around 21:20 three of us (all students) came to the restaurant and ordered something to eat as well as a white wine. One of the meals included a salad and a sauce. After we had started to eat, suddenly the waitress came (about 1.60 m, brown hair & very rude kind) and said that the sauce had been a mistake on her part and not included in the meal ordered by us, but she would have narrowed it down for us anyway "because as little as you ordered it is alright".

After several minutes of discussion that it was probably not a mistake on our part (at first we thought it was still a joke) we were repeatedly told "we had eaten the sauce intentionally without saying anything", "it's on the menu" (where we were shown the price of the sauce on another side of the menu without any context) or that the restaurant is "just not a snobbish restaurant like the local one where it usually goes, but a student's stall and then the sauce just costs extra". Then we were told in response to the request for contact with the managing director that he was not there and that you could write an e-mail, but it would "not do any good anyway". Hopefully this evaluation will not be deleted by rude employees (as is obviously the case with any e-mails) but will reach the local owner.

To have to pay something that you have not ordered (and with a sauce that is served without a word next to a main course and a salad one as a functioning person will probably assume that it is included) is an absolute impertinence and as such absolutely unacceptable.

We will certainly NEVER come back and advise...

The bar is generally nice, but they give the dowstairs room to the event floorspot, an open mike for singers songwriters. I was there with a friend and the organiser literally kicked us out because we were talking, but really wispering in our ears that lower volume than that is impossible, and we were even in the very back of the room far away from the stage. He said that "he knows we are speaking really low volume, but if we are not paying attention to the music and we have things to tell each others we should leave". Really, this was the most rude I have ever experienced in a bar. Never again! The Tachles should not give this room to these people, it was almost empty while upstairs it was completely full, now I know why: the floorspot community does not welcome anybody else that is...

Omg we had the worst experience ever in this café today, although it turned to be a good place. Very disrespectdul and unfriendly waitress, we have never seen this before, but this wasn't the deal. Before leaving they literally kicked us out in the worst way ever..very disrespectful no excuse..we were wearing our jacket to leave the place as they ordered us to in a very harsh way...I am sorry but if you had a bad day there is no reason to behave like that with clients...especially in a job where you're supposed to be at least a bit correct..for not saying a minimum of friendly. .Still can't believe it..we were shocked and the only way to react to it is to laugh about the situation now and write...

I had such a lovely experience at Tachles! We went with a close Polish friend who highly recommended it, and I can see why — it really felt like an authentic taste of Poland. The pierogi were so good! We tasted a variety of them and they were all delicious and beautifully prepared. You could tell everything was made with care. I was also really impressed by the cocktails — they were creative and a burst of freshness and flavours! The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. It made the whole evening feel really relaxed and enjoyable. Tachles has such a cozy, welcoming and hype atmosphere. I’d happily come back anytime!

*cash only* Will definitely be coming back here. The pierogies were perfect, they tasted like home. Also very good cocktails~ I didnt have a reservation but they seated me at a table (with a time limit for the reservation, but still very much appreciated) and the vibes of the restaurant were very nice to take in while eating.

A nice little cafe near the Karmeliter market in the 2nd district. Service was good, very attentive. I had the pierogi but found them a bit watery. That said, the bacon bits that came with them were amazing. The outdoor seating is great in summer but the street is quite loud.
