Bäckerei (Bakery) Ohel — Restaurant in Vienna

A short walk from Schwedenplatz across the Donaukanal. The modest looking store sells a handful of types of loaves and bread rolls as well as bitesized potato or mushroom filled rolls, the latter priced by their weight. These, along with the lunch-special of the day (in my case: a mashed potato-filled palatschinke with mushroom sauce--so delicious) were dairy free. Their sweet options were also mostly vegan, including their cinnamon and chocolate rolls (delicious) and apfelstrudel. Sweet baked goods containing milk products were clearly marked "Milchig" and included the Austrian specialties topfen schnitte and punschkrapfen. at lunchtime on a Sunday none of the bread was fresh and they were out of beigels. I was told to pick from a random selection of ordinary, slightly stale bread rolls for my sandwiches. the salmon tasted overly fishy/strong and the cream cheese wasn't thick; it was smooth like Philadelphia.
