I recently visited Burger Factory in Zell am See, which is located conveniently in the center of town. The atmosphere was nice, cozy, and clean, and the staff were welcoming and spoke good English, which made communication easy.
I asked the staff if the food was halal, and they confirmed that both the chicken and beef were 100% halal. Based on this, I decided to order a crispy chicken burger and a single beef burger.
Unfortunately, the order didn't come as I had requested. I specifically asked for a single beef burger without cheese on top of the bun, but it arrived as a double with cheese. When I brought this up with the staff, they refused to change the order, so I ended up eating it as is.
The chicken burger arrived as ordered. The taste was good, but it was clear the chicken wasn't fresh; it lacked juiciness and tasted like it had been reheated. The same could be said for the beef burger—the patty was rubbery, indicating it was not fresh either, which made the burger rather average overall.
However, the cheese on top of the beef burger was quite tasty, with a nice chili flavor that I enjoyed dipping with the fries.
On the positive side, the seating area is very nice, and the customer service was excellent despite the issue with my order. This restaurant has potential and, with some improvements to the freshness of the food, could become one of the...
Read moreWe went for dinner quite early and the friendly owner, Elena, gave us a table as there was a reservation made by someone else but was for an hour later. She was very friendly and told us that they make their own patties and cut the potatoes themselves everyday for the fries. They even source beer which is brewed by the local brewery nearby. So yes, the quality of their burgers were really good and tastes very delicious. Elena recommended the "Untouchable burger" where they melted the cheese over the whole burger. Best of all, they provided a pair of black rubber surgical like gloves for me so that my fingers won't get messy with all the cheese. I found that to be a really clever idea as the thought did cross my mind as to how messy my fingers would be after I had the burger. If you are ever in the area and looking for great burgers, give them a go but I recommend making reservations first as the place isn't big and tends to be a very popular place. Coincidentally, we were there on their 3rd anniversary of business. I reckon they'll be around for many...
Read moreJuly 15, 2021. Went to the restaurant with a party of 4. Two people ordered regular burgers and were quite satisfied with their food. The other two asked if the "vegetarisch" burgers could be made Vegan but the server told us the paties were made using egg. The owner came to our table to explain the ingredients being used and told us he was very sorry he didn't have any vegan paties. So we ordered 2 servings of fries instead, which were fresh cut and very tasty. The owner then came to our table and said he would cook up something vegan for us. He custom made us some vegan paties/burgers! All of this was very unexpected and we were surprised at the extra service he provided for us. The Vegan burgers were super tasty! We thanked him very much for going out of his way. I would not expect this to happen too often. I would think they could easily modify the vegetarisch paties to vegan with little effort. As there is no vegan food in all of Zell am See. There is a demand for Vegan food....
