Zero respect and lies from the head waitress.
During our recurring stays in Zell am See we used to go there at least once a day for food and drinks because of the location: the outside terrace is next to the train tracks and my son loves to watch the trains as they pass by. Until tonight that is, we’ll definitely never go there again. It’s not about the food, the food is not great, but overall good, I’d say you get what you pay for, good value. It’s really all about the lack of respect and being barred by the head waitress from getting a table at 8PM because we already ate a Kaiserschmarren at 5PM, although there were still tables available for non-reserving guests. A pair that arrived after us without a reservation was seated at one of the non-reserved available tables, and they clearly answered that they don’t have a reservation when asked. That we’re barred from getting a table by the head lady was passed over to us by one of the other waitresses that knew us from the previous days. Tried to explain to the head waitress that we’re not there just for drinks, we’re looking for a proper dinner, but she wouldn’t even listen to us. We served our dinner some other place, happy to shell out even more money. To whoever cares about this place, we’re not looking for royal treatment, just fair human decency and respect.
Just in case you wonder, we always tipped according to the service, from 5% (service could be improved) through 10% (the norm) to 15% (great service). So that...

Visiting Villa Crazy Daisy, I was eager to sample their renowned waffles. As it turns out, they completely lived up to the hype. The waffle I received was not just any waffle - it was an experience in itself. Freshly prepared and warm to the touch, it immediately appealed to my senses.
Every bite was a symphony of flavors, bursting with the right balance of sweetness and crispiness. The taste lingered, leaving me savouring the moment and making me crave more even after it was all over.
The ambiance of Villa Crazy Daisy also added to the experience. It was welcoming and cozy, and the service was friendly and prompt, contributing to an overall impressive visit.
In summary, Villa Crazy Daisy certainly knows how to make a waffle that stands out. This was a delightful and delicious discovery that will remain etched in my memory. I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area and in the mood for a truly exceptional waffle. Five stars,...
Read moreWe had lunch here today (Saturday). At arrival the terrace was only filled by guests for maybe 25%. We were told to choose a table because there were a lot of options. The location is quite nice, the terrace looked cozy.
For lunch, we had ‘Kaiserschmarren’ and a club sandwich. The kaiserschmarren was cooled down when served and some pieces were a little hard. The club sandwich was good, a large portion served with fries.
The waitress that served us was very, very much in a rush and did not take time and effort to make us feel welcomed. I would understand this if it was a crowded terrace, but at the time it wasn’t. I finished my sandwich and was still eating my fries when she cleared the table and took away my plate with the sauce for the fries on it.
Overall; ok food. Not the best...
