I decided to bring my family from America to Nesbitt because I felt the experience there would have been as good as going to the Fish Fry. It was our final day to dine as a group. The waitress attitude was poor.. she didn't greet us, she never smiled, but I ignored her ungrateful behavior. Six of us were dining in... I must admit my company had no complaint about their food or drink. I had a problem with my meal. I was given a scorny fish casted on the plate with some fries for my $22. Joey and Curly or Oh Andors at fish fry never did that for lower cost. I waited to complain to the waitress (she never introduced herself), I had to go find her despite us being the only dine in guest. She never apologized for the food being late. She only checked on us bc I gave her back the food. We had to locate to request the check and we waited another 7 minutes for her to resurface with our request. That's not the most disappointing. My cousin is prudent and precise. She had a separate check and noted that the change return to her was short a dollar. The waitress explained that the bill she received was not final and more gratuity was added at the register. I've never experienced that before. Same was done to my bill. So what would have happened if a customer had given you the exact amount for the bill!! Thief or no thief you tell me. The staff didn't realize I was in the bathroom and they were making spot of my family who had left the restaurant bc i dared to not like their food and we question our bill. What a shame! I will never dine there again. I was embarrassed for us...

I just received unbelievable service. I was inside of the restaurant. I have been there before grateful. Great customer service the first time which I was fooled by. I came back on another trip and I went to order the same order. I had the last time and the young lady at the register Took my order. Told me that they don’t have one of the items that I came for so I proceeded to order two fried fish with grits. I have gotten there before she told me one second. She’s never seen that before she walked away to the back of the kitchen retrieve several other items bypassing me at reframe and asked her again about proceeding with taking my order because I had a flight to catch, she still bypassed me with. I don’t know what the other gentleman bypassed me as well and started to take an order from other customers around me as if I did not exist. That was one of the worst feelings. When I have talk so highly recommending this place to all of my friends that are traveling to the Bahamas as a great place for customer...

Wow! So happy I got to eat here! It was close to the hotel we are staying at & it was recommended by a local. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Loved the music they were playing. Very comfortable, laid back dining atmosphere. We tried a few foods: 1) shrimp fry, 2) fried snapper, 3) cole slaw, 4) cracked conch with rice & peas + 2 sides (i chose plantain & mac&cheeese). Wow! All the foods were super delicious and I ain't lying. They were seasoned so well!

The shrimp fry was so delicious! It was seasoned and cooked well. Excellent item!

Fried snapper was also super delicious and well seasoned. My mom loved it!

Cracked conch with rice & peas was also so damn delicious! I have never had conch before, but it kind of tasted like calamari. And i looove calamari! The plantains were made so damn delicious & that mac+cheese was so damn delicious!

Highly recommended! Happy to try a local bahamian restaurant & this...

Nesbitt’s is a Bahamian institution. As a born Bahamian, i literally have been coming here all my life. It is not to be judged by the many foo-foo, upscale restaurants that proliferate the island. No, no. Nesbitt’s is no-frills, down home, Bahamian fare. The food is reliably delicious and served in good-sized portions. Service is old-school, Bahamian friendly. If you want a taste of “true-true” Bahamian food, go to Nesbitt’s.

We ordered the mac and cheese and conch fritters. Both were a bit spicy for my tastes. The fritters were a little doughy. Our food took quite a long time to come out. We came around 2 and didn’t get food until 2:40. However, it does have a cozy island vibe inside and out.
