Just ate there this afternoon. Firstly we arrived at 12:30 and the place was very quiet. We had 1 child and an infant. Took them a while to bring our menus and drinks. The food arrived out in dribs and drabs, my husbands’ food was the last dish to arrive. He ordered a pizza sandwich and it arrived after almost 1.5 hours later. On getting the bill we discovered he was charged for the blue sail pizza. Not the blue sail pizza sandwich. One is 14 dollars the other is 35 dollars. Believe me when I say what he was served should not have cost 35 dollars. They insisted he ate the more expensive option and not the pizza sandwich. They were unapologetic for the miscommunication or the huge delay. The gratuity charge was already included so not an option to withhold tipping. Their food ordering system was very problematic and not processing orders through to the kitchen or bar. While there I overheard a number of other customers with issues such as waiting for their change, waiting for table service etc. The setting is beautiful and the food was ok but it really spoiled our family lunch.

Absolutely comical experience from start to finish. From their exclusivity to getting a table to their inability to open their interior sliding glass doors while 3+ were already open in their interior dining room, they’re approach to welcoming guests was abysmal. Their Mai Tai’s were similar to that of a college party for $15+ without any of the atmosphere worthy while. After ordering a Margarita Pizza, we received a “Cheese Pizza” and were essentially told that we were idiots for assuming we would receive a pizza with something that contained basil. See the accompanying picture for a side by side picture of our “Margarita Pizza” next to my nephew’s kid’s “Cheese Pizza” for reference. When asking the server why the two looked similar, she said that they do not include basil, mozzarella, nor tomato on their margarita pizza and that we were presumed idiots for thinking so for ordering beforehand. Their ignorance was nothing less than disrespectful while expecting you to pay top dollar for subpar food.

We frequent Nassau as my husband is Bahamian. The redeeming quality of this restaurant is the ambiance and the views. For the cost they’re charging to eat here, it’s absolutely underwhelming. We ordered the BBQ ribs($28) and the chicken fettuccine($28) and both were disappointing. The pasta was watery and unseasoned and though it’s said to have Parmesan in it, I couldn’t taste it. The chicken was a bit tough and tastes like it was frozen and then heated through. I didn’t even finish the pasta as I just didn’t like it. My husband’s ribs were better but that’s not saying a lot as they were still underwhelming. They seemed to be boiled and covered in BBQ sauce - they didn’t taste grilled or seasoned and they certainly weren’t falling off the bone. Most of the ribs were the fatty parts also. The peas and rice was fine and they provided a smidgen of coleslaw. We’ve been to plenty of restaurants here on the island and have had great dining experiences. Unfortunately (and for $70) this wasn’t one of them.

Warning - Car may be broken into while dining

Firstly, the view here is really good. It's a restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining and bar on a beach front with a nautical vibe and tranquil ambiance.

The service was good. The food went from bland to bad. I had the caeser salad, wings, tacos (those mini tacos ARE really mini lol) and those were okay. The pork chops were BAD. The pork chops were overcooked and dry and I would not recommend.

The parking for this establishment is along the main road. I returned to my vehicle after leaving Blue Sail to one of my car window broken - window shattered, glass every where - very scary. Another diner also leaving blue sail, also parked along the roadside, car window was also broken into... on the same night!!! There is a security guard by the parked cars but he was not aware that this happened to both vehicles. Also, staff was not much help and the restaurant policy is park at owner's risk.

Maybe an isolated incident? Apparently not. I shared my experience with a few friends and they knew other persons who had similar experience of their car being broken into while they dined at Blue Sail. This is a recurrent problem, so what is Blue Sail doing to minimize the incidence of this? Regardless of how good a restaurant is, the inconvenience and distress of dealing with something like this is not worth it.

If you do decide to try this restaurant, day time might be less risky than night, and DO NOT LEAVE anything in the vehicle and even then that's NOT a guarantee :(. Also, please check windows before...

Well it started out great ordered a lovely mango cocktail delicious. Ordered our meals. The meals came for the two kids and my friend. I ordered the mahi mahi and figured maybe it took a bit longer so I waited patiently. About 10 min later waitress came to table and asked if everything was ok. Clearly she did not see I had no meal. I asked where it was. She said oh you ordered the pizza? I said no the mahi mahi. No apologies at all. At the same time but we did not notice she took away the one child's meal as she was already done and took away my daughters salad that was have eaten. Waitress has no personality no I'm sorry nothing. She came back with mahi burger! I said nope that is not what I ordered. She said yes you did. I mean she thought I ordered pizza so !! Anyway I asked for a new salad for my daughter and she insisted that where it was positioned on the table meant she was done yet she was still eating her main meal. They came back and replace the salad with about 10 shreds of Romain lettuce on a plate no veggie and no dressing! I ended up as now everyone finished their meal speaking to the manager canceling my order and asking for a new salad for my daughter to take home. The waitress still did not apologize and argued that I did not order the mahi meal. Manager corrected things nicely and discounted our bill and sent us home with a nice side salad. So I was happy with that. I hope they get the staff person a bit more trained and let her know just a mere apology goes a...
