Our hosts tried to gently steer us away from here but after a long day of travel, a rainy afternoon and some hungry teens we walked here from our nearby condo. Appears a group from one of the cruise lines was just leaving so that left only about 5 tables on the whole place. We sat outside and the other 4 tables finished their meals and left before we even had water. But a bread basked was placed at our table! We were on the water and enjoying but it was quite odd. Several servers asked if we’d been helped and at every “no” ran off - seemingly to get someone else? We sat for 45 minutes and finally order drinks and burgers for the 4 of us, thinking fastest and easiest meal to order. We waited another 30+ minutes for our drinks, finally asking someone if we could at least have some water. Burgers arrived and each one was different despite everyone ordering the same thing - one had bacon, one had peppers, one had a cold piece of cheese clearly thrown on as an afterthought and another with sautéed onions. All ordered medium. One was in fact medium, 2 medium rare and the 4th (mine) was raw - less than rare. Inedible. Would have told waiter but he never returned. When delivered the food asked for mustard and another round of drinks. Mustard never came. Drinks took another 30+ minutes at which time everyone done eating. Waiter did see my burger and removed it from our bill as it was inedible. He was nice but not sure why the horrible service as we were one of only 3 tables there - 2 inside and us outside. And why the crazy food we received? Was the cook on break? It was over a 3 hour experience here and we never returned despite the proximity to our place. Nice location overlooking the water but our experience...
Read moreEh, not worth the trip either from the West or the east of Bay Street. We stopped in for drinks to check it out and decide if we wanted to eat dinner there for our last night on the island. Two of us ordered Bahama Mamas, and I ordered a mojito. The Bahama Mamas were fine, pretty standard for everywhere we've been, but neither the bartender or what I'd assume was the barback knew how to make a mojito. What I ended up with was a lot of rum and club soda with some old, dead (which the bartended pointed out) mint. And the "happy hour" prices were the same as any other place on the island with better service and drinks.
The worst part was the atmosphere. The servers seemed far more interested in getting the right music channel on the TV than attending to customers and it just seemed like a place for employees to hang out, not a place for customers to enjoy.
If you're looking for a good atmosphere and food/drinks, check out the Pink Octopus or Nesbitts up the road, far better...
Read moreI strictly came to the Bahamas to visit this restaurant. Came here for lunch to see if I wanted to have my wedding here. Well, first the place is kind of run down. Very outdated and food is ok. I ordered the conch fritters which those were very good. I also got a chicken ceaser salad and it was not good. Iceberg lettuce with bland chicken. The menu says grilled chicken but it’s not grilled like a bbq grill, it’s just seared and plain. I sent that back. The views here are amazing but it wasn’t enough to have my guest here for my destination wedding. Be careful of the ramp they have leading to the beach, it’s an accident waiting to happen. It’s very steep to go up and to come down on. You can’t find pictures of this place online and if you do they are totally outdated. The staff is nice and understanding. I think they know the place they work at isn’t the best so they definitely compensate for the atmosphere and food. Unfortunately, I choose not to have my wedding here...
