Twisted Lime Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in New Providence

Poor & Wouldn't Return, Be gracious it's 2/5 and not negative.

I'll be as neutral as I can be with this review, as I'm holding back the distasteful experience of this "restaurant". I stopped for a meal after skipping breakfast and dinner, the day prior. You are hungry, and rarely anyone would have time to think about any details of ordering food, other than its already certified and seem decent at hygiene. I grabbed a menu and browsed through what they had available, skeptical of what they can deliver. I wanted the chicken but instead something in me was telling me I'm going to be agitated with the chicken and i can't explain why, so I went with ordering the fish. Now before I continue, keep in mind i asked the waiter or maitre d'hotel if this main coarse includes two side orders of the fish. He assured me it does. I said perfect, I'll have it. Go to the casher and I asked her just to clarify that I'm paying for the fish, two sides and rice, she just said "uh-huh. I don't mind paying for it if that's the way they do it, but they didn't clarify and can you blame a customer for wanting to know what to expect? You don't order salad and theres no dressing because you didn't pay extra or a conch ceviche without any sauce because you didn't pay for it. Anyways, I waited about 20 minutes, before I knew it, I was ready for a refund and just go to Burger king and call it a happy meal, they brought out my meal and I see on my plate, no rice. I placed my fork on the table and had a hunch something like this would happen which made no sense that they couldn't clarify that their Menu uncovers a A La Carte Menu?! I Don't care what it cost, I was hungry expecting my full meal, You know a table d'hote, a set menu of meals. i ate what I needed to, talked to them about the situation and this waiter or whoever he was was lucky i was pressed for time and at a conference because I would've told him a thing or two. He got occupied serving a couple so I just had to man up and realize to accept this Loss and Never try them again. The set up is okay a bit of a tight squeeze, but moving about in traffic, it's a place you can't miss. You're near the beach, local shops and businesses, as well as several banks and port by the cruise, hotels, and other restaurants. They need to do a better job at communications with their customers, If i hadn't skipped breakfast, I wouldn't risked it. I couldn't care less for you having any empathy for someone who sounds like a 'ungrateful spoilsport connoisseur'. I'm simply sharing an honest opinion about my experience that may save you the disservice of trying there, especially with you may wanting to lower your expectations that you paid your hard working money into. I dined outside and the view along with the atmosphere were great! Our server was nice and the food was delicious! *mention any allergies that you have as you’re placing your order. I had to send the salmon and veg back because of that but the little piece I did taste was flavorful and delicious. Not over cooked but done right! Because the kitchen was closed I couldn’t put in another order so I munched on the person next to me plate and the food was good! Burger cooked to perfection, fries crispy and nicely salted but not salty. I recommend!

Update, I went back again Sep.9,2025 and they did not disappoint! Now there was only one server on and he kept forgetting orders and sauces to go with the dishes but he was nice. I do feel the manager should have stepped in to help him, even if it was just dealing with the receipt but nevertheless he did the best he can. Our honest review on the food Conch 4/10 tasted good but was tough Wings 10/10 Ribs dinner 10/10 curly fries the bomb Gyro, the sauce was not enjoyed to the person. Maybe explain sauce to guest and see if they still want it. Calamari 6/10- without the sauce it has no flavor and it was cold. Conch chowder 10/10 Marsh potatoes 10/10 Philly cheese 10/10...

I feel safe to say I've been coming here pretty regular. I can't lie, I feel the service and food is slipping. It use to be a place I would tell anyone was consistent with their food but it seems just blah now. Came here for a late lunch and caught happy hour. Was sat in the corner by the bar as there wasn't seating available on the other side. No prob but the tables are a bit far from the booth seating which wasn't easy on the back. Then I had to endure workers standing by the bar talking about on-the-job gripes. 🙄 We had the spinach dip and not only is it in a smaller square bowl, it lacked flavor as the usual. Then my family member had a regular burger..it was dry and tasteless.. didn't have much of the fixings on it either. My Philly tasted different than I remembered and everything is much smaller too.. I was last here in late August and came back in December to a totally diff taste and serving size. I am "big eyed" as Bahamians would say and I can safely say everything was WAY SMALLER than I remembered! With the waitress complaining too, I assume all is not well there...it's sad when there is loss of something consistent which is so hard to find here at a responsible...
