KRAVE — Restaurant in Chattogram Division

Don't know where to start 🤔 - ordered Buffalo wings and Fried calamari rings as appetizer and New York fish & Chips and Chicken ala merina with two sides namely Garlic rice and Mac n Cheese as main course. In terms of food serving - first they served Newyork Fish & Chips, then calamari rings followed by buffalo wings and Chicken ala merina - what is the purpose of ordering an appetizer then? Even they don't have that answer 😁😁

Food review - New York Fish & Chips - Very soft inside, excessively salty and chips were relatively more crunchy. Expected much much better. Rating 5/10. Calamari rings - Excellent. Rating 10/10. Buffalo wings (with peri peri sauce) - Again excessive salt. Rating 6/10. Chicken ala Merina - Had high hopes but dissappointed! Not enough cheese inside and the chicken was dry. Rating 4/10. Now comes the most interesting part - Side dishes - Mac n Cheese - they gave me a oven baked pasta i guess! Coz i can't describe what was it! I guess the Chef has no idea what so ever what is Mac n Cheese. Moreover that is their so called 'Premium' item among sides. I have complained and took Mashed potato as replacement. Rating 1/10. Mashed Potato (replacement) - Omg! What was that 😲 Literally i was served a porridge - yes you read that right - it was a porridge made out of potato 🤣🤣🤣 What a waste!!! Rating 0/10. Garlic Rice - Oily, undercooked & cold. Even my 2½ yrs old daughter who loves fried rice didn't ate it. Rating 1/10.

During my visits to various restaurants, I have often encountered a similar approach from managers. They initially treat me like a guest, offering polite conversation and a warm reception. However, once I explain my aspirations and interest in learning, the conversation typically ends with them taking my contact information, without much further engagement. But recently, something amazing happened when I visited Krave restaurant. At first, it was the same old story – the staff greeted me warmly, treating me like any other guest. However, when I mentioned that I was pursuing hospitality training, the front office team didn’t just brush me off. Instead, they went out of their way to connect me with the manager.

The manager’s response was incredible. Though they couldn’t offer me an opportunity at that moment, their kindness and willingness to engage left a lasting impression. It reinforced a lesson that I won’t forget: the true value of any establishment lies in the people behind it — from the management to the staff.
