Grassroot Cafe Uttara — Restaurant in Dhaka Metropolitan

I have always seen this cafe every time I go to taga so this time I really want to try this one out.

We ordered their premium chicken pasta which was 440 taka and cheesecake which was 240 taka. The pasta obviously was very creamy and it was very cheesy as well and I loved that it wasn't really overly spicy or too sweet it was just perfect. There wasn't too much spice in it it was a very simple yet elegant kind of pasta I really enjoyed it. It was enough for the two of us to share but I would say that it was a good amount to be shared between three people.

Now I never had cheesecake before and it was my first time having cheesecake and it was a little bit sour. And I don't think I really liked the cheesecake there it was feeling like Bengali sandesh

Now if I want to talk about their service I would say they are really friendly even though at times they might feel like giving off energy but they are friendly.

About their ambience and atmosphere I would say they could have just closed the main door because it wasn't really conditioned enough and it was giving this really good kind of cafe vibe with the dark and gloomy lighting there was also a smoking zone as well but between the smoking zone and the eating space I would say the doors wasn't really closed enough because the scent of smoking was coming inside the seating room which I really didn't enjoy.

One thing I must talk about is their menu It's so beautiful and elegant I loved the menu design

Situated on the top floor of Arong building beside taga. In my opinion the place is design and built for senior people or classic people, youngsters doesn't find the place match with their vibe. Food was dalacious al though but quite expensive. Service was little bit slow in my opinion, cause I'm paying much high for the food but didn't receive that much faster service(not applicable or food serving) (Slow for cleaning and giving menu process). Waiters are not so much friendly in their behaviour, it seems like they are doing their job on gun point. Like whenever I go to other place, waiter suggest some foods and try to be friendly with their words or behaviour, in that case I didn't notice. They are polite as well ... I think they should focus on the welcoming a guest and can ask for the food feedback. They have a smoking zone on the other side, it is open place having 5 to 7 tables over their. If you are going for a private date or quite place it can your destination, or best place if you want yo take your parents that would be a good choice .. For food taste I will recommend this place. And they should work on their staff...

The behaviour of their waiters are horrible. I ordered iced matcha mocha and told them to not add sugar in it. Then they told me that they usually don't add sugar in it, the sugar will come from only chocolate. After that when I tasted it , it was filled with sugar add they didn't even add any milk in it . The iced mocha was only filled with water cocoa powers , ice and sugar. I never tasted this kind of horrible drink in my life. When I complained about it they didn't admit their fault and they just added milk in it.The worst thing is that when I was paying the bill then again I complained about it but they pretended not to hear then I again complained l, then they said that they will change the drink at the end . Then I said there is no need now and I walked away e from the cafe. Their staff are not well manned. If there is any wrong with the food which can happen but at least you should admit your fault. On the other hand, they behavior was rude. I will never visit that...
