[I will update this review once you address the issues since I love you guys!]
North End Uttara is a total disappointment. Not sure why it's so different from the other branches in Gulshan and Banani. The coffee here is rarely good, most of the time, it's outright bad. The espresso shot lacks balance, the color is off, and the milk texture is poor. No silky smoothness, and the frothing is just bad.
Even the freshly roasted beans they sell are subpar. I regularly make espresso and cappuccino at home using North End beans. But the ones I get from this branch are consistently below the standard of what I get from other locations.
As someone who’s kind of a self-taught barista, I can confidently say the core issues go deeper than just taste. The way they store fresh beans and milk is questionable, and there’s a clear lack of consistency and care in how the drinks are prepared. They’re not maintaining the overall quality, and that absolutely needs to be addressed.
And did I forget to mention, the setup is bizarre. Why would anyone open a Tong-style shop in Uttara without proper space? The smoking zone is somehow larger than the actual cafe, but if you're not a smoker, you’re basically out of luck. You can’t even sit there and enjoy your coffee.

It’s not just the food or the coffee it’s the whole experience that stays with you. From the moment I walked in, the team made me feel genuinely welcome. They weren’t just polite they were attentive, warm, and truly cared about how you were doing. Whether it was helping choose the right coffee or checking in with a smile during the meal, their service felt personal and effortless. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served just right but what really stood out to me was how smoothly everything ran, even when it got a bit busy. That says a lot about their training and how seriously they take customer satisfaction. And of course, the baristas easily some of the best I’ve seen. They’re focused, skilled, and super friendly. You can feel the passion in the way they handle every cup, and they’re always happy to chat or recommend something new. I’ve visited a few other North End branches too, and I love how consistent they are. But there’s something about the Uttara location maybe it’s the people, maybe it’s the vibe that just made it feel extra special.
Miss it already. Can’t wait...
Read moreThe first time I visited North End Coffee Roasters, Uttara, I didn’t know anyone there but one person really stood out. He was the one who welcomed me with such genuine warmth that it instantly made me feel comfortable. The way he spoke, his patience, and the way he made sure everything was just right really caught my attention. At first, I didn’t even know his name. It was only later that I learned he’s called Shojib. Since then, every time I go back, he’s the same polite, attentive, and always with a smile. That first impression wasn’t just a one-time thing; it’s the way he naturally is with everyone. The café itself has a calm and inviting atmosphere. The rest of the staff also carry that same positive energy, which makes the place feel welcoming from all sides. Add to that the consistently great coffee and food, and it’s no surprise that North End has become one of my favorite spots. Honestly, experiences like meeting people such as Shojib are what make North End more than just a coffee shop it feels like a place you want to keep...
