Nerdy Bean Coffee House — Restaurant in Dhaka Metropolitan

The decoration of infra-structure definitely lives up to its name : Nerdy. Because it is actually decorated with books that are pretty popular. Personally I cannot think of a better combination than books and coffee, especially when the coffee is freshly brewed. They have good desserts, not the best but not the worst either. The savoury items are probably their strongest side. One of the things I love about this place is it's underground. So if you feel to be socially detached or do not feel like to be flooded with sunlight, you can go check it out. Price is neither reasonable nor excessive. Moderate, which means it is expensive, but not going to rob you or anything. Recommended.

Edit from june 2021 : Previously I rated Nerdy Beans 4 stars. Now I rated it to the wholesome 5 stars! Here's why. After a whole day of failing to find proper restaurant that would not disappoint me, Nerdy Beans showed itself as a light at the end of the tunnel. Me and my sister ordered one cappucino, one hazelnut latte, one cheesecake, one cookie and their french fries!! The cappucino was great, so was the latte! The cheesecake was fresh! The crust was made of chocolate biscuits which I will never complain about! Their thick cut french fries were definitely a stand-out for both of us! Not only was it fresh and crispy, it was also very generous in amount. Their special dipping sauce was great and upon asking we got another sauce for free!! The sauce was creamy, spicy, slightly sweet and tangy. Perfect for our french fries! Now, the cookies. It's definitely their own not stoee-bought. It was chocolaty, sweet but only one problem. Both of us hated the vanilla essence flavour in that cookie! It was overpowering and also kind of off-putting. Other than that, every other item was spot on! FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST- (Recommended) The English breakfast is a scrumptious meal that has a sunny-side-up egg, 3 sausages, slices of beef bacon, baked beans, grilled mushroom, half a grilled tomato, lettuce, loads of butter and 2 pieces of toasted brown bread. It made for a wholesome and filling breakfast/brunch. . SMOKED CHICKEN SANDWICH (Definitely Recommended) Two pieces of sandwich stuffed with loads of smoked chicken and cheese. The melted cheese was dripping out of the sandwich. The smocked chicken was also perfectly cooked and full of flavour. They had the option to choose white or brown bread. I went with brown bread because it is healthier. . SAN SEBASTIAN CHEESECAKE - (Definitely Recommended) A slice of heavenly soft cheesecake dripped entirely in a chocolate syrup. The cheesecake had a very subtle sweet flavour that was perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the chocolate. . RED VELVET CAKE - (Recommended) Basic moist red velvet cake.

With one of the most fantastic decors to grace our concrete jungle known as Dhaka, it provides a much needed visual and auditory break from the hustle and bustle of life. Warm cozy lighting plays a crucial role in creating a really snug and love-filled cafe environment. But we're not paying for just the environment, but also the product. And unfortunately for the cafe, the product in question is a really underwhelming experience. The baristas are severely inexperienced, and it is my understanding that they need more time and training to make a decent cup of Americano. The coffee was almost stale; no earthy or fruity flavors were found in the brew.
