Brassiere De Harmonie is a small restaurant in 2018 Antwerpen and is easy on the eye as everything is concentrated on the food
The 3 of us arrived to a full restaurant and our table was centre stage and right in front of the chef which we could watch him creating these wonderful marvels we were about to indulge in
We started with my usual glass of champagne following by a bottle of 2021 Kingpin La Mancha which was excellent-so we had another
Presented with a miniature mushroom soup which started us off on the right track for this Autumn October menu
Next I had the Consommé Van Kwartel which was this light but ever so indulgent consume with gevulde pasta met boschampignons en truffle ( stuffed pasta with Forest mushrooms and truffles and chives)
When I dine out I like to order what I cannot make at home so Parelhoen it was Guinea Fowl baked on a sheet, with apple cranberries chicico & croquettes This was divine and had a delicious delivery to my taste buds
Ok dessert was the main reason I wanted to come here again and Chef did not let me down
I have 3 favourite desserts of all time & here I had one of them - Sabayon with champagne and vanilla ice cream made to order Lighter than velvet, smoothly than silk I was taken away on a floating cloud of champagne dreams

Read moreWe did try out this restaurant on a bloody hot summer day. In spite of the high outside temperatures, it was still relatively cool inside. Cosy atmosphere inside with nicely dressed tables. The ceviche was adorably tasty, day-fresh and extremely refreshing on such a hot day. The ceviche vinaigrette deserves a special mentioning, awesome. As main course we went for the sea bass. As usual in the traditional flemish/ belgian kitchen we received a plate with three large pieces of fresh and tasty sea bass accompanied with freshly baked patotoes and summer vegetables paired with a delicious sausage. And this for less than 30EUR! A dream come through. Each course was paired with a nicely complementary wine (white blend wine from Rueda and a white chardonnay wine from Puglia). We closed the meal with a champagne-based sabayon.
