Karasu — Restaurant in Antwerp

I had good time here.

The restaurant is little away from Antwerp city center, wasn’t close to the hotel I was staying.

The atmosphere was great, it was small place with good lighting Japanese mood.

The food was delicious,but they were not enough to be honestly happily full 😅

Appetizers were just for taste and main was small as well. Made us keep ordering lots of little dishes.

We(two people) kept ordering reaching around 80 euros.

Sashimi was fresh but what you can easily predict, what I really liked was Eggplant. Very soft and well cooked. For drink, Yakult Cocktail was very good 👍

Service was great and server was very welcoming. But there was one waitress only and place was full so food took a lot of time to be served after order.

It was also too pricy and little quantity.

It was great night though, had a good time in romantic and fine dining...

Didn’t manage to take much picture but this place is literally underrated. Very kind japanese/vietnamese lady working alone and one Japanese chef in the back. Food is real japanese taste and their karake chicken (deep fried chicken) is superrrrr yummy.

The decorations were very random but i found it charming in the sense that u don’t need to be perfect but it’s cute and funny. Food is good , toilet is clean. I think people here should try more the real taste of asian rather than many chain I see now in town with not good taste but proper marketing with very high price. I don’t understand that So i totally support this business and will go back to visit for...

I arrived at the restaurant at 7.30pm, the reservation was for 8pm. After one hour, at 8.30pm we asked if it was possible to have at least a menu. We finally order, we wait ONE HOUR and... TA DAN! ...The first dish they bring us does not correspond to our order. This happened at least 4 times, even though the restaurant wasn't even full.

We also said we had an appointment at 11pm, we finished eating at 11.30pm.

The dishes didn't even arrive in order, we got a starter in the end of the dinner.

The quality wasn't even the best, endless waiting and general dissatisfaction.
