The food is tasty, but the pricing is completely out of touch with the simplicity of the ingredients. For instance, one tiny “taco” made from a plain seaweed sheet, basic rice, and a small portion of chopped eggplant is somehow priced at €10. Honestly, it’s hard to understand how such affordable components could justify such a hefty price tag. The cauliflower dish is another example: €14 for what’s essentially just a small head of cauliflower with a light drizzle of mayo.
That said, the venus clams, hamachi, and labneh were genuinely delicious. However, the homemade lemonade was essentially lemon water, and at €4.50, it felt like daylight robbery.
Now, let’s talk about the millionaire shortbread—if this dessert’s size reflects a millionaire’s fortune, then someone must have blown their savings. The portion was so small, I half-expected it to come with a magnifying glass. Delicious? Sure. But it vanished faster than my hopes of financial stability after the bill arrived.
Service was a bit slow—we waited a pretty long time between dishes and ended up feeling quite hungry while waiting for the next plate.
On a positive note, the restaurant itself has a cosy, warm atmosphere and the male server was very friendly. With some adjustments to portion sizes and more alignment between the pricing and the quality of ingredients, this place could...
Read moreVery pleasant night out here. I think the Finch scores well on most accounts. The service is casual but knowledgeable, bringing a fun atmosphere to your experience. You’re never long without attention or care from them, even though it can get busy. Food wise they serve up Asian inspired dishes, and some Middle Eastern ones, in par with current popular cuisine. It’s done well, packed with the right flavours and arrives very quickly. I suggest picking a late reservation so you don’t get rushed out because of the speedy service. The amenities are clean and well designed- my only critique is the way the whole restaurant feels a bit cramped and the acoustics aren’t all the great. I saw that they treated the ceiling with noise reducing material, but it can’t seem to cope with the amount of people, in my opinion. I recommend a...
Read moreWe had a great time with some friends here, that i forgot to take pictures of all the dishes. Every dish is absolutely delicious and served with attention to detail. Don’t expect the experience of a starred restaurant, it’s a laidback and jovial atmosphere. We had 7 dishes we shared, and the Pimientos de Padrón (peppers from the Padrón municipality in Spain) were prepared to perfection. Be advised that the bill may be high… Finally, make sure to go to the restrooms if you want a little 80s...
