Felix Pakhuis — Restaurant in Antwerp

Beautifully located restaurant. Went for brunch a few times. I feel the quality of the food could be better for the price. There's an abundance of things to try but they seem to lack care. I'd rather have less options to choose from and have the freshest ingredients. The rolls, especially did not taste or feel fresh. The eggs and sausages were yummy as were the meatballs in tomato sauce.

Plates are cleared regularly with plenty of fresh ones near the buffet, but you only get one pair of cutlery. Feels a bit inconsistent.

Costumer service could do with some improvement. Tapped water after three pm is apparently not possible. I'd advice every table be supplied with a carafe of tapped water, with a few lemon slices as a courtesy to the guests.

Overall, a nice place but not what one expects from the reviews or the price. I was a bit let down,...

We were a groep of 16 people, had a reservation. Even though Felix pakhuis says to love groups, we felt differently. Half of our food came with extreme delay (was there lack of personnel?) They even forgot many of our dishes, which added even more disappointing to the situation. The drinks had also been late from start. We were so thirsty and hungry. I felt sorry for my friends, And also sorry for the waitress and people who seemed to be full handed. I just don't understand why they accept then big groups if they're not able to handle them. The food was okay, but it hardly compensated the high prices nor the upset caused. A couple of plates missed one of the main ingredients. Food is incredible and the staff is super friendly. I was skeptical about a buffet for brunch but it definitely exceeded my expectations.

Sadly, the only reason I’m giving this place 4 stars is because we were seated in the lounge area instead of a table. I called ahead to make sure it wasn’t too busy and the host told me it’s fine. When I got there 20 minutes later she said things picked up fast and she didn’t write down my name.
