We had a concert in Antwerp in the evening, but specifically came to the city a couple of hours earlier just to get brunch here. The menu looked way too good to miss out on. We made the right decision!
We both ordered the Coffeegasm milkshake and it was DELICIOUS! So creamy and tasty. It reminded me of the old skool non-vegan milkshakes I used to drink in the past.
For lunch my fiance got the "You Make Me Completo" sausage dish. He said it was really good and tasted just like the 'real meaty' version he used to eat. It's not a dish you can find vegan in many other restaurants. And he was very excited to be able to eat it again!
I got the banana speculoos pancakes and they were to die for! I can definitely say these are the best vegan pancakes I've ever had! Very fluffy, satisfying and moist. Perfect with the sweet banana and speculoos flavors! It was a large portion and I had to fight to finish it all. But it was too delicious to leave any leftovers.
The overall atmosphere of this place is lovely too. Very cozy and chill. Alternative, in the best way.
Ngl, this restaurant isn't cheap. But the food and drinks are worth every penny! The dishes are of very high quality and you can tell they are made with a lot of love.
It's a shame we didn't stay in Antwerp long enough to try their dinner menu. If we ever get back we will definitely...
Read moreVisited Antwerpen with two Friends of mine. Entering this small little vegan restaurant, we were greeted by two kind waiters and got an exclusive seat at the small alley behind the restaurant. First thing that came in our mind was that the male employee had visual similarities with Captain Jack Sparrow. I ordered a scrambled Tofu and I think it was delicious! One of my friend got the cheese plate and described it as exquisite. I forgot what the third meal was. Before getting ready to eat we spoke our traditional german "Tischgebet" where we accidentally got interrupted by Jack. But we all took the incident with humor and had a funny situation. After enjoing our meals we got some of the best Mojitos we've have ever had, not going to lie. Happy and well-fed we wandered of into the sunset and enjoyed our one week short trip...
Read moreEnvironment: 5/5 nice and cozy little place. They allowed for reservations and dogs inside. Overall the ambiance was modern with light touches of wood inspired with a. Spanish/Mexican theme.
Food: 4/5 All the food is vegan and they called our specific food allergies in the menu. The chorizo hot dog was unique and something that I’ve never had before, but the toppings didn’t really match and bread was a little hard. The blueberry pancakes had a different flavor which wasn’t too bad, but something that we weren’t used to.
Price: 4/5 For the amount of food gotten it was not that much. The ingredients were fresh, however not worth the price especially for a restaurant near a major port that...
