Bubble Waffle Café — Restaurant in Antwerp

We came for brunch on a Saturday around 11am and found a place for two people easily.

There are QR-codes on every table and you can order and pay online. Then they prepare your food quickly and bring it to your table personally.

Both of us went for a savoury bubble waffle and they were delicious!

My boyfriend ordered the one with bacon and eggs and the portion was a bit small for him.

I ordered the nordic waffle and for me the portion size was perfect. I’m not a big eater though, so they could upsize the portions a bit.

Unfortunately the rose wine tasted like the bottle has been opened a few days ago already. The iced coffee was huge. I ordered it with almond milk and I really liked the taste.

Honestly we were looking to order waffles, but me being addicted to american pancakes went for american pancakes with extra bacon and syrup. Little did I know I got soo much bacon I struggled to eat it all; exta syrup? they just gave me the entire bottle to serve as I please. Didn’t even say anything after she saw we killed half the bottle. Just smiled. Man, those pancakes were something else. Can’t tell you about the waffles yet, but im going back. For meat the lovers here get you some pancakes here and don’t forget to leave those hard working people a tip. Living in the netherlands I have to say I was surprised how much food we got for what we paid. Brb booking another trip to Antwerpen hahah. Any feedback id leave?...

Myself and my family were staying in Antwerp for 2 nights and elected to eat out for breakfast instead of paying the hotel 20 Euros each for something.

Once we arrived, I Googled places to eat breakfast with a menu that would also be suitable for a child. Several places came up but one stood out... The Bubble Waffle Cafe.

Needless to say, we decided within minutes of our food arriving that we would return the following morning. The service, quality and presentation was truly superb.

The owners work there having started the business not so long ago and the level of service and consideration for the customers really does show.

When we return to Antwerp, the Bubble Waffle Cafe will be our go to place...
