We had a good experience at this restaurant, with some truly memorable highlights. The first courses were particularly nice , beautifully presented, fresh, and delicate, with a wonderful balance of flavors and textures. The interior of the restaurant is also a delight—clean, cozy designed, making for a warm and inviting atmosphere.
However, there were a couple of details that could be improved. Upon arrival, we were given a general introduction, but the waitress did not ask about any allergies or personal preferences. This became an issue when the main course arrived, as it was pigeon—something I personally dislike, so my husband ended up having to eat both mains. While this was an oversight, it’s something guests should be mindful of mentioning proactively when ordering.
Additionally, given that it was Valentine’s Day, we missed the small thoughtful touches that many restaurants offer on such occasions—a little chocolate or a themed surprise at the end of the meal would have been a nice finishing touch.
Overall, we still recommend this restaurant, as the food and ambiance are of great quality. Just be sure to specify any allergies or dislikes when ordering to ensure the best...
Read moreDelicious, imaginative menu. We chose an all-in menu, with aperitif, pairings and coffee or tea included. Katja is a great sommelier, and chose fantastic non alcoholic pairings. The menu is a surprise, so we didn’t know what to expect. When we arrived, we were asked if we wanted to know what was on the menu or be surprised at every course. We chose the second option. The food was amazing, from the start to the finish. We especially enjoyed the dessert. The restaurant itself is really beautiful, from the anonymous entrance door -great to surprise someone that you invited- to the interior, which is very classy and elegant. Incredible experience that I...
Read moreThanks to the team at Les Annees Folles for a wonderful evening. This was our second visit and it was as good as we remembered. We had the six course tasting menu with matching wines, and the chef made some adjustments as I don't eat meat. The food was exquisite - a voyage of flavours, textures and ingredients. One example - carpaccio of scallops, mango, curry oil, and curry oil. So delicate, so balanced. Lovely friendly staff, who provided enough information, but not too much. The chef also comes to the table to discuss food options. This is definitely a place I would strongly recommend, particularly for a...
