Mirlo's — Restaurant in Antwerp

This was one of the worst horeca experiences I think I ever had. The woman at the counter was so unfriendly towards us (Idk if it was because we were speaking English or something else) even though we approached here with a friendly attitude and also ordered quite a lot of things. The food was unfortunately also not very good, everything was served very carelessly and the taste was below average as well. The three little pancakes tasted quite bland and the „Açaí“ bowl was just a regular not very well mixed smoothie bowl with barely any toppings. Let alone the prices that didn’t match the absent quality, taste and portion size (if they had used high quality ingredients I would of course pay for that but nothing about it was special). I can‘t give more than one star since the service was even worse...

We ordered a shakshouka and a French toast. While the French toast was delicious, our experience with the shakshouka was deeply disappointing. We discovered a visible hair in the dish, and when I brought it to the waitress’s attention, she firmly denied its presence. I had to physically pull the hair out of the dish to prove my point. Although they replaced the shakshouka, there was no apology, and the waitress’s attitude made us feel as though we were at fault for her bad mood. 45 minutes waiting time for bagel, avocado toast and pancakes. They totally accept this is a normal thing because only 1 person is working at kitchen?! and it was very busy?!, only one waitress was sorry, the other one explained like this was okay because of 1 cooker at kitchen.
