Knowing Panos for over 20 years, and regularly getting a sandwich at one of their shops, the experience for a Panos in the heart of a touristic city on a prime spot, my impression of this shop was below standards. Not busy at all on a Sunday, I ask a simpel sandwich. The order passes to each of the 4-5 staff personnel before someone starts making it. New baguettes are not fresh, standing in the open, I see breads being thrown back in the basket from afar. After ten minutes I get my order, while waiting at the counter. I eat in, the first bite reveals a hard dry bread, little or no ingredients inside. The eating area is dirty, the floors are full of rest and scrap. Cleaning is not a priority. And toilets cost 1€, whether you are a customer or not. Never again. The 1 star for food is because there seems to be a choice, but I don’t intend to try other things...
Read morePanos prices are abusif! They charge you €3,90 for a regular “late” and €5,60 for the same thing, but cold. They call it an “ice late” Just for a couple of water ice cubes they ask you almost €2!!! Actually it’s not even good. You can hardly taste the coffee nor the milk. Lots of water. On top of that you have to pay €1 to use the toilets which are not clean at all. A shame! When I try to explain the manager, a girl, that the price is not justified, she answers me that I have to go to another place… and that is exactly what I am doing from now on. Read moreThe Turkish boy with curly hair didn’t take our order correctly and was so unprofessional👍. He was mixing orders all the time. At one point, I asked what sauces they had and he responded « pfff everything » like what? Also we asked him what sandwixhes they have very rapidly because we don’t know how to read in Dutch and he did not explain us.
