Philly Sandwich Bar — Restaurant in Antwerp

I had the pleasure today of meeting the owner Nabil. Very nice and friendly man. This is my first time in Belgium. We have been traveling for the last 2 weeks coming from Paris. I'm from Philly and couldn't believe there was a place that sold a Philly cheese steak. They were closed on Monday so I was anticipating it on Tuesday. I finally made it there and had the best experience. If your from Philly or have been there you know they use cheese whiz but due to certain regulations in the country you can only have certain things but they tried their very best to make it work. I had the mild provolone. The roll was an artisan roll. It was magnificent!! The curly fries were a great surprise because everywhere in Paris and Belgium serves french fries so these were different. The place is cute, small and very clean. It was a pleasure getting to know the owner and his background. If you happen to travel to Antwerpen Belgium, you definitely need to stop here. We didn't stay to eat because I wanted to be in pajamas ASAP. But, walking into the place felt very cozy. We ordered and it was super simple and the owner and the lovely lady with him were very kind. Our food was out to us quickly but you could tell there was so much care and attention to detail put into making it all. The curly fries were amazazing and crisp, the mozzarella sticks were so tasty, and the stars of the show (the cheesesteaks) were fabulous! The meat was quality and so well-seasoned. The bread was soft but in the best way. It was such a nice experience and meeting and talking to the owner was so lovely.
