Restaurant Zagreb — Restaurant in Antwerp

Excellent restaurant for seafood lovers. The restaurant is a little far from the city center but it’s worth the walk! They have a seafood menu and a meat menu and also good appetizers and desserts (which I couldn’t try). I went there a little after 2 pm. A big family was still having lunch. I opted for the ‘Catch of the day.’ Before the actual food came, they served bread slices and homemade feta. The cheese was really good! I also ordered a glass of red and water. Wine was ok. They served me a whole fish, salad and a huge portion of potato! I was more than full after the meal and couldn’t try their dessert! Of I ever come back to Antwerp, I will surely visit! Went on a Monday night around 7pm without booking a table and the Restaurant was full. After asking for a table we were told they are fully booked so we just asked if we could have a drink. They agreed and there seemed to be a lot of locals just drinking at the bar. After a few chats with the locals the waiter came over and said we are in luck, a table is free. We ordered starters and main courses and incredibly we didn't have to wait long for our food. Then we had desserts and asked for the bill. Like in Greek Restaurants we drank a Slivovics on the house. Food was probably good, service was friendly but on the slow side, and the prices were average for the part of Antwerp it's in. The atmosphere is quite nice, or rather, might have been. They allow patrons to use those nasty-smelling e-cigarettes inside of the building (not vaping, but the other kind). Since the tables are so close together, my food tasted like nothing but the bitter flavor of the guys' next to me e-cigarettes. It was clear the management of the restaurant approves of this, as the staff were coming over regularly to the tables where people were doing this.
