I rarely give a bad review but we went to eat here because of the multiple Gault Millau awards. But we definitely don’t recommend coming here: The staff isn’t welcoming or nice, the prices are expensive for what it is, as a Thai person this food isn’t authentic and doesn’t use many fresh ingredients, they told me that the dish I wanted couldn’t be personalized to take out 1 ingredient because the dish has been cooked with everything inside it already? Delicious, budget-friendly Thai food! Staff is very friendly and it is easy to order if you’re an English speaker :-) The food was absolutely delicious - I had spring rolls and the beef pad thai which was the perfect blend of flavours. Loved that they gave me the chilli flakes in a separate little bag (I had takeaway) and I could choose between using chopsticks or fork and knife. Nice Thai food near the city centre. I was pleased to see the many Gault Millau ratings adorning the walls, the food is definitely worth it. Tawan Tai seats plenty, so I’m sure it caters to groups easily- the food is also designed to. We had a variety of dishes, with the option to add some spice (or reduce it).
