First things first - the food is great, prepared with great attention to details and in front of you. The chef and his team work in the middle of a large rectangular marble bar around which the guests are sitted. What you get to eat and how it’s prepared meet and exceeds the expected value for the price. Cudos to the chef and his team. The atmosphere is not very formal and cosy, which we personally liked. The restaurant is located in a hystorical building with great architecture which certainly gives additional charm. The service, however, doesn’t fully match that level. Without going into details, I’ll point out two big issues. First, you don’t persistently and repeatedly ask the lady with a half full glass if she wants another (charged) glass of wine. Rest assured guys - if we were in a mood to save money on drinks, we wouldn’t have come here :). But, by far the most unusual thing is ASKING for a tip when bringing the bill (before you even have a chance to see the bill, let alone start paying it). This is a big no-no, especially in Belgium where tipping is not common. We were celebrating something as a family and it was the first fine dining experience for our kids, so I didn’t react and tipped ~7%. Yet, in combinations with a number of small setbacks throughout the evening, this did leave a big negative effect on the overall experience. Suggestion: I don’t think that reusing the same utensils for a six to eight course meal is the best practice. I have never seen this in any upper class restaurant I’ve ever visited accross Europe. It appears to be part of the concept, and didn’t really mind, but didn’t really like it either.

TL;DR: go out of your way to try untitled. Shared a delightful lunch on a Friday afternoon with a friend at this innovative, seamlessly-executed concept by chef Joeri in the Jane's loft/bar space. We opted for the slightly-pared back 5 course menu with the cheese substitution for dessert. I had a well-balanced cocktail to start and a couple half pours of wine during service, which were selected by the friendly and attentive beverage director. Sleeper hits for us were the fried Brussels sprouts with green chutney and lobster wontons with lagoustine butter and Kombu oil. Chef Joeri was also very generous with his time when we struck up a conversation after the lunch service has died down. Recommended.

The restaurant is an experience by itself. Went for the 5 course menu and loved every single bite. As you are seated at table bars with a great pick in the food making. The location is more suited for small groups. You get a great experience as you see how the dishes are prepared in front of you.

1 star without entering the restaurant sadly. Never experienced such a rude, unfriendly costumer service via the phone. They do not acknowledge any possible mistake in their online booking service. Say they tried to call which they never did. They obviously did not want our service even when we suggested to change our reservation to a day when they have many tables free online. Really a shame that they do not at least train their staff to remain friendly when...
