Avoid this restaurant as this place only took cash ! I offered to pay him by the card but he rejected as obviously he wanted to avoid paying tax. The owner then would force you to go to the nearby ATM to withdraw the money if you didn't have any cash with you and he won't let you go to the other ATM to withdraw the money. The ATM machine was definitely the scam, which would charge you very high commission and it won't even give you a receipt ! By the way, there was nowhere on the machine indicating how much commission it would charge per transaction and it would just charge you a crazy amount of commission when you withdraw the money from it. The owner's attitude was terrible. He would follow you to the ATM as if you were trying to run away, which made me feel really uncomfortable. Honestly, if you only want to take the cash, please at least notify the clients before they make their order or just simply the put a note on the wall to make sure everyone knows that this is the cash-only restaurant. Speaking of food, I ordered the fried noodle and it tasted really average and blend, which made me wonder why there were so many good reviews about their food.. In short, if you are a tourist or a local who wants to try Uyghur food, please avoid this place as much as possible unless you are happy to eat the mediocre food and being treated badly. [Update] Based on the owner's review, you could definitely see how rude he is. I never wanted to run away and in fact I did offer to pay by card but you just refused it and...
Read moreThe noodles are tasty and comforting, though the portions are a bit small, so it might not be enough if you’re really hungry. Chili paste and cutlery aren’t provided at the table; you have to ask. I asked for chili paste twice, and the owner kindly added it to my bowl himself…but it still wasn’t spicy enough. Eventually, I just gave up asking. Lol.
My son asked for something else on the menu, and after waiting about 15 minutes, the owner came over to gently convince him to try a different dish, since some items take longer to prepare. The place is small, and the owner works alone, so service is on the slower side. But he’s very friendly and chatty, which adds a personal touch.
All in all, it’s a warm and welcoming spot, great for a cozy meal on a cold day, as long as you’re not in a rush and don’t mind a little...
Read moreAmazing food, we had the pearl noodles, dry fried noodles and dumplings. All portions were generous. Both noodle dishes were fantastic. Freshly made and full of flavour. The dumplings were clearly homemade which is great but I personally prefer the meat to be minced a bit finer and have a little more veg mixed through. But the flavour was good (cumin) with a nice chilli dip with a hint of Sichuan pepper. The service was excellent - the family running the business are super friendly and very kindly gave up their table for us. The food was served very quickly even though it was busy. I've only had Uyghur food in Sichuan but compared to the places there the food was authentic. Definitely recommend and hope they will stay around for many...
