tl;dr: so-so. Can definitely find better around, but not really bad for a quick Belgian fries fix if around They advertise themselves as the best fries around, which is definitely a sign that they’re not making the best fries around. In addition to fries with a choice of sauces, they have other Belgian stuff like croquettes and whatnot, but we didn’t try any. I got the fries with ketchup, mayo and onion. They feel less “homemade” and less crunchy than the better places (although of course most of them will be machine cut and fried in very large batches for speed). Hard to describe exactly, but if you try multiple places you’ll get a feel for the difference. They have an upstairs seating area which isn’t the cleanest (probably not enough staff to go around doing that, which is understandable) but perfectly usable. Just get some napkins and give your table a good wipe and you’re set. You’ll get your order pretty quickly, and the price is also a bit lower compared to some other fancier places. I’d say it was an ok experience.

Overpriced, they make u pay for a drink if you want to eat on place, and the worse that they don't even bother on showing tourists that locals have preferences over tourists. "Priority service for our local customers" written on the screen. Taste is not that bad but definitely not recommend, just go to Brussels to have real french fries. It's also fking slow for simple pre-cooked french fries. I was the only one on the store and the guy on the counter was just cleaning his stuff so he could leave earlier instead of giving me the food I paid for. Even tho it's written that they close at 6pm the guy just makes us rush to finish (it was literally 17:25), lazy and lame guy. The store is super dirty, they don't bother to clean.

This is the ultimate fried food/snacks place. If you need a crunchy, not so healthy but satisfying junk food craving, this is the r place to go. They have almost large enough variety and combinations of fried snacks to satisfy your whole group of friends. I got the truffle Parmesan fries. I thought the mayo truffle was a little too much on the fries but I ended up finishing it. The fries weren’t newly fried so they were lukewarm and not very crunchy. The Parmesan came in slices so that was good. There is seating upstairs although it was quite messy and a bit dirty, maybe because it was the end of the day and the staff were busy.

'T Brugsch Friethuys in Belgium offers a quintessential experience of traditional Belgian frituur, drawing numerous customers through its „revolving door“. The establishment boasts commendable traits that have earned it a loyal clientele.

One of the key highlights is undoubtedly the quick and amiable service. The staff ensures prompt attention to customers' orders, fostering a welcoming atmosphere within the bustling environment.

The star of the show, the fries themselves, perfectly encapsulate the essence of Belgian frituur expertise. Exhibiting a delightful contrast, these fries possess a crisp, cross exterior while maintaining a fluffy and soft interior, a testament to the artistry in their preparation.

Furthermore, 't Brugsch Friethuys impresses with its extensive array of sauces, catering to various taste preferences. The diverse selection of sauces complements the fries impeccably, adding an extra layer of indulgence to the overall experience.

However, it's important to note that the authentic charm of this frituur comes with a trade-off – the pervasive scent of frying oil. Patrons should be prepared to leave smelling like they've been working a shift in a diner due to the lingering greasy aroma.

In summary, 't Brugsch Friethuys stands as a testament to the quintessential Belgian frituur experience, offering quick, friendly service and delectable fries with a wide assortment of sauces. Just be ready to embrace the savory scent that accompanies this...
