This place is a must go in Bruges. We had a deluxe breakfast with salmon and a fried egg and a boho breakfast. The pictured drinks are a soya cappuccino and a high protein hot chocolate. Everything was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend the deluxe breakfast, which comes with ham, cheese, butter, big slices of brown bread and a white roll, a baked pastry like a croissant or a pain au Chocolat, and a small yoghurt bowl with fruit, strawberry coulais and granola, as well as a mango, apple and orange juice. It was all fantastic, the quality of the ingredients is really incredible. Considering it's northern Europe in November, all the fruits were juicy and tasty, the granola (which you can buy) was so good I had to take some home with me. Even with limited time available in Bruges, we made time to come here twice. I would highly recommend booking if you want to sit inside, but the outside space is fine too and they offer blankets. The bread seems as if they bake it or get it very fresh, the croissant was the best I have ever had, and I am fully converted the yoghurt bowls. Absolutely fantastic, I cannot recommend highly enough. A must eat in Bruges, especially for Brits or Americans who don't usually experience this kind of...
Read moreNice atmosphere, a little small but fair enough, they have space outside as well.
Staff are polite and helpful. The orders though are hit and miss. This is our third visit, the previous time they gave us regular milk instead of oat milk, fair enough mistakes happen. This time they charged us for 2 small glasses of tap water, tap water yes ( i am certain if we spoke Belgian they wouldn't charge us at all for tap water )
The waitress was comfused why our table was so much for 2 coffees and she asked the waiter which he works there a long time as we saw him years ago,he admitted that everything seems correct so we paid it,we dont make trouble obviously.
We have been everywhere in Belgium multiple times including Ghent and we never seen this before ( charging for small glass of tap water) . They charge for alternative milk as well . Yes everything is indicated on the menu but that doesn't mean its not absolutely crazy. Aaaanyway. I don't think we will visit again but you should visit and make up...
Read moreEdit for the answer from owners: Manners you say? We went there twice. First on Sunday morning, they were fully booked. Fair enough, it is a Sunday morning. We went again Monday morning at 9am. It wasn’t planned, thought they would have a table. They guy asked how many there were, I said two adults one child. (When you are fully booked, it doesn’t matter how many there are in the group) He said they are fully booked, threw a sketchy look inside, as if he is trying to see if there are tables. Anybody in that conversation could tell he was lying. I don’t know if it was because we are tourists or because we have a child. I don’t mind if they can’t provide a table, but telling obvious lies is not the manners we are looking for.
Our experience with that place is one star,...
