Disappointing Experience with Low-Quality, Inauthentic Chinese Food.
Our visit to this restaurant was extremely disappointing. Beef Mein (€18.5) were nothing more than greasy Italian spaghetti masquerading as chinese noodles. I can see from the other reviews it wasn’t an isolated case when Italian pasta was used for mein (!) It was hardly edible, completely lacking any authentic Chinese flavors. The sweet and sour chicken (€18) was even worse, a minuscule portion drenched in a bizarre, tomato like sauce. The chicken pieces were dry, tough, and unappetizing.
For the price, the quality was shockingly low, and the presentation was non-existent. Adding to the discomfort, the AC was off on one of the hottest August days, leaving the small space hot, stuffy, and filled with an overpowering cooking smell coming from the kitchen. Read moreWorst Chinese restaurant ever! The food was just barely edible. We got 2 vegetarian springrolls (€8.50 EACH!!!) which had been fried in oil used at least 3 thousand times: they only tasted of rancid oil! I couldn’t eat mine. Then we got some vegetarian chow mein (€15): first of all, the noodles were clearly overcooked Italian spaghetti! They were dripping with old oil and had only a few pieces of carrots and onions. Tasted of just that: overcooked oily spaghetti. We also got a vegetarian stir fry (€16): again oily and quite heavy! For the first time ever with Chinese takeout, we threw out the leftovers. How this place is still open is a mystery to me! Awful...
