De Prediker — Restaurant in Bruges

I really don’t know about the negative reviews, maybe they changed the manager or staff? Either way, I came here before reading the reviews (lol) and while waiting for the food I was scared I’d get something horrible as I was reading the reviews while waiting BUT I had an overall good experience. Yes, the place was empty when I entered but probably thanks to the sound of the shutting door, one of the staff must’ve heard and came out. It didn’t take me 30 seconds till I made my order. The toilet was almost spotless. The staff (both from Pakistan, if you’re curious) were very nice, soft-spoken/polite & smiley. I got my orange juice in maybe a few minutes after ordering and my salmon spaghetti within maybe 10-15 mins with a big portion very generous with salmon (as you can see on my photo). Everything tasted great! I am now full and happy. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that they only accepted cash (thus, 4/5 stars) as I heavily rely on credit card as a tourist. I don’t know but despite the majority of the negative reviews, I’d say at this rate this place definitely deserves...

This place is an exact example for the worst restaurant experience! Had been here on 22.04.2019, we had to wait for a waiter to welcome us for 20 mins, when he turned up he DID NOT KNOW TO COMMUNICATE IN EITHER LANGUAGES, English, French or Hindi 😂 we did not know how to explain our order to him, had no patience to understand what we want to order! Once we received our order we had to wait and even again ask them for forks and spoons, had to wait to eat. Above it all, he charges us 2€ more for my Falafel meal, and when we asked him why was it 8€ on the menu and he charged us 10€, he said we accuse him to steal from us instead of just being apologetic about his fault! He was IMPATIENT from start to finish. He even asked us get out of the restaurant, WHAT?!! He was hysteric and so stressed that he did not know how to communicate with us. He had no professional ethics what so ever, and even his MANAGER supported his unprofessional behavior, I hope the MANAGER changes his team and now we understand why there was NO ONE ESLE in the...

We had to wait 30min to be able to order, when you order a 1/4 of beer, you receive 20cl. Then we waited 1h+ to receive our order, which was served really cheaply, there's wasn't enough food. Simply. The food was less than average, compared to the usual belgian standard. We asked for additionnal bread and sauce that never arrived. We are actually waiting for the receipt. It has been 30min now. The terrace definetly is the only interesting aspect this restaurant...
