Restaurant China — Restaurant in Bruges

I have eaten a lot of Chinese restaurants but this restaurant was clearly played on the Western tourist or the local Bruges people

We regretted coming to this place...Ok not gonna lie...the food was edible but the portion was really small to Chinese standards and price was around 20-30 euro a dish...come on...I wanted to give 2 stars but decided to give 1 star because it was just below Chinese standards

the seafood pot was a joke 2 pieces of Coquilles and it had surimi sticks in it? everyone knows Surimi sticks are fake so yeah not sure why they are cooked in a seafood pot.

The ma po tofu dish was maybe enough for 2 people...but the tofu was quite bouncy and good...if the portion size would increase then it would have been great.

the stir fried noodles were like all broken pieces (did they cut it or something?) it did taste okay though...but presentation wise I would have expected it to be long noodles instead of cut down

Worst of all the Peking duck was fried and covered in a lot of sauce...ok we weren't all that hungry as we ate before we came to this place but we didn't expect this duck portion size to be so small...literally one piece for everyone and the party was over

There was a chinese waiter that kinda ignored us the whole time but kudos to the belgian waiter that helped us perfectly the entire time. (for that he deserved two stars)

If you are Chinese avoid this place...better eat...

The blandest meal I have ever eaten.

Starter arrived after about 45 minutes with the mains another 30 minutes behind.

Food was completely devoid of any flavour. Plates we were given were dirty. Mains arrived 20 minutes apaet from one another. Ate maybe a quarter of the meal before leaving.

Asked for a tap water just to wash the blandness out of my mouth and was told they only do bottled water.

Left after that, meal was roughly one-quarter eaten. Ended up getting Bratwurst from the Christmas Market which was fantastic.

I'd give this place 0 stars in I could, the one star I'm giving star belongs to the waiter who deserves it for somehow being pleasant the...

Don't believe the one and two star ratings below! This place this just fine. The atmosphere is lovely, the music level is low and appropriate, and the service was excellent. I had the Shrimp Curry and my wife had Chop Suey with chicken. The portions were large, and the flavor was great. BTW, this gem of a restaurant opens at 7pm which is not well posted (my only complaint!). It's a great and convenient location for anyone visiting this...
