The restaurant itself is well designed and decorated. It has 2 levels and the ground floor has normal tables with chairs for seating and the first floor has the more traditional floor seating. Drinks : the restaurant has a decent selection of drinks as well but i personally feel that the pricing is on the higher end side. Food: the restaurant has a thali concept which is very common in India where the thali itself has all components needed for nutritional requirements. The thali is different in different parts of India and as such this thali is very localised to the Punjab region (as is the name).
The naan (bread) was great, bhindi (okra) masala was good too but the dal (lentils) and palak paneer lacked the flavour that i was expecting. It lacked salt, the subtle spiciness that we usually get in Indian food. It seems to have been watered down to make it more appealing to the non Indian population but as a result it loses the identity and thus was a let down. This is why the rating is a 3 star for me. It didn't transport me back to Chandigarh which has some of best food and flavours in the northern part of India.
Pricing: the thali is priced at about 27 euro which is fine if you're alone, but if you go with a family of 4 you're looking at a bill of 120 to 140 euros with some drinks and that is expensive. They also don't have the possibility of packing leftover food which is really wasteful.
They have a kids thali which has a couple of items lesser, this was a deal breaker for my kid as they wanted to taste all items but couldn't eat the full thali of food. It would be better if the quantity of rice and naan is served at a smaller portion and give...
Read moreThis is by far, hands down, the best indian food in the city of Brussels! ( and we have been to atleast 5 Indian restaurants in total here in Brussels)
We have had lunch, dinner and a special weekend Lunch in this restaurant and enjoyed every meal. Having lived in the city beautiful, Chandigarh (India), for some years, I believe we hold some amount of authority on food from this region 😊
I would love to recommend this place to people to enjoy nuanced north indian food on a platter. The things we enjoyed the most in the Thalis were - tomato chutney, karahi paneer, chholey ( chickpeas with fried bread ), dal, dahi Bhalla, baingan bhartha ( mashed aubergine), grounded mirchi ( green chilli on the side), gulab jamun with rabdi and masala chai.
There are elements in this restaurant - the leafy green tree, the sparse seating arrangement with high ceilings, wooden furnishings and the logo - everything reminded me of Chandigarh the city.
And cherry on the cake is the ever polite, and helpful service from Niels and Lola. They make the experience extra special ( we met them twice out of the five times we were there) and felt extra special about being there the time they were around. Thanks...

I would rate this place one of the best Indian food in Brussels. This is the first purely vegetarian restaurant in Brussels and the busy one.
Let me start with food as I loved the concept. There is fixed special menu which keep changing every two weeks. This week it was “Traditional Thali” in dinner. It consist right mix of bread, rice and curries. My food list is:
Yellow daal (Lentil) * Masala aalo (Potatoes) * Palak paneer (cheese) * Baingan (Aubergine) * Dahi Bhalla (Yogurt) * Rice * Bread *
Side order: Pakora * Shinkanji (Lemonade) *
This is an amazing place to experience Indian food. They have two level for dine-in. On ground level you can eat on table and upper level is more traditional dine-in (sitting on floor).
Don’t forgot to make reservations before visiting this place. I was lucky and the hostess was very kind to allow us to dine-in without reservations but i also saw people returning.
The place is accessible for people with special need. However the washrooms are on the upper floor and will be difficult for old people and people with...
