I'm a foreign visiting new country, expecting to buy things and be respected even trough my lack of knowledge in English. I'd never expect that a salesman selling me chocolates that are typical for his country and in work he has chosen himself could be this arrogant and disrespectful. I asked for help, the saler didn't listen to my requests at all. I asked for more pieces that wouldn't be so expensive each. He kept on offering me 100โฌ box of chocolates I couldn't just give to more people separate. Also, while paying, he was so slow with his movements, packing the chocolates, while looking at me with arrogant look. What is more, when I was leaving, I heard no "bye" or anything back. Is that how this shop treats customers, expecially the ones that literally travel over the world just to be treated in shop like this? Defenitely won't visit ever again and won't request further to more people. Of course the are other Godiva shops (the one I've been is at Grand Place) in Brussels now just the one I've been in but this really made me remember the name of it...

The antique storeโs small interior means there are no seating areas, but itโs perfect for a quick indulgence in chill weather. We enjoyed their hot chocolate and a truffe speculoos.
The hot chocolate was made by melting rich black chocolate into hot water, resulting in a thicker and more luxurious texture compared to instant powdered versions.
The highlight, however, was the truffe speculoos. The term "speculoos" refers to a praline filling infused with crunchy biscuit dusts. Unlike the typical smooth praline, this one had a coarser texture, reduced sweetness, and a delightful crunchโtruly unique and satisfying.
We also watched a young lady meticulously dipping strawberries in chocolate fondue. She handled each one with such care and precision, creating visually stunning treats that captivated every passerby.
For tourists, thereโs a selection of limited-edition chocolate gift sets. Why not treat yourself or a loved one to a box of indulgent Belgian chocolate? Itโs a sweet way to...
ย ย ย Read moreI went to the Godiva store in one of the main squares of Brussels to buy the famous Belgian chocolate for a Christmas present, I was looking for dark chocolate specifically, but for some reason, on all boxes of this dark chocolate, the expire date was 01/31/2023. The seller said that there were no others and I thought that I wouldnโt find one anywhere else and bought it, but walking further down the street I also found the store of Godiva brand chocolate in which the same dark chocolate had expire date till the April 2023. Later I decided to go back and return to this chocolate to buy in another store with a normal expiration date, but I was told by seller that the product cannot be returned back. therefore, I was very dissatisfied with this brand and, in particular, with the staff of this store, and not only do they keep goods on the shelves that will expire in a month and a half, but also the cost of the product is significantly different from the cost in another store of the Godiva brand, which was approximately 150 meters from...
