We had dinner in the place in our first night in Brussels and it gave us a really nice impression of the city (too bad all our other experiences couldn't keep the pace).
I like turkish cuisine, which is somewhat close to the greek one, in my homeland we even have some greek barbecues in downtown so it was time to prove the genuine greek food. The owner (I guess she was the owner) was very kind and helpful, explaining what was what in the menu, and guided us through all the possibilities.
I got a mixed corn Pita bread wrap with chicken and pork and my wife got a classic Pita bread chicken wrap. Fries with metsovoni grated cheese and a portion of fried halloumi. Got a greek beer (Mythos) and my wife asked for an orange juice, but got a Fanta instead (maybe a misunderstanding?). The wraps were pretty good, very well seasoned. The fries were good as well. The metsovoni tasted like Italian provolone, meaning it was really good. It was the first time I've ever heard about the fried halloumi and overall it was okay. I found it a little bit dry, but with proper saucing and the honey that goes on top of it, tastes better.
Overall, it was a good meal but the highlight was the service. The lady who serviced us (which, again, looked like the owner) was very considerate, even toured with us to her other shop, Sugar Crush, which we had a discount for having dined in the Stick that Meat but since we were totally full from our meal, we had to skip it. Also, props to the place for being open on Saturday (one day before the Christmas eve), since the surroundings were...
Read moreFood is good , but a bit on the heavy side. Despite the name they have also done vegetarian choices. Service was ok, but on the total confusion for the crowd of the lunch time my order got delayed after others that came after me and something was missing and had to ask, so be careful to check your orders in case of takeaway. I find that the price is quite high for the special considering the small quantities of meat you get. The fries are really good, huge size, made 70% of the order. The food is served a bit brutally on the tray over a piece of paper, so if you search for something elegant this is not the place for you, but if you are ok with street food style...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The fries were overcooked and excessively salty and soggy, the salad was dry and lacking in flavor, and the meat was of poor quality, dry and overcooked. To top it off, the tzaziki sauce was tasteless. The prices were also inflated, which added to my overall dissatisfaction. This restaurant did not meet my expectations and I would not recommend it to others. It felt as if the food was prepared with the intention of reminding me of eternal decaying and increasing entropy, ultimately leading to a cold, lifeless, dark universe. It felt like eating cold leftovers from the homeless shelter...
