It seems that Dai Sardi Caralis has changed name to Ichnusa & Brutium, but kept the tradition of delicious Italian food, with Calbrian and Sardinian specialties, a cosy atmosphere and kind service.
I went there twice in the last months, for lunch both times and I was happy with the quality of the food, even during rush hours. If you really are in a hurry, please keep in mind that this is not a fast food, so you would better either go there when you have the time to enjoy or you can ask for delivery. I understood their pizza is fantastic.
We had pasta aglio-oglio (special order out of their normal menu, the cornerstone of the Italian pasta!), black sepia spaghetti with shrimps and cherry tomatos for me, and oven pork with funghi porcini and tartuffo, all very good. In the end we chose tiramisu and it was good and flavorful, but I regret I not going for one of the regional specialties. Next time for sure.
We really appreciated that they were flexible with the request for a pasta out of their regular menu- we asked and agreed about this before we booked, and explained why - a personal reason. They understood the situation.
We were busy to enjoy time in the family and the food so forgotten to take nice photos of the dishes. :)
For the practicalities: payment by card, at the bar. Prices aligned with the area and the quality of the food. Reservations recommended, as the place is not huge. At rush hours might get busy so make sure you have enough...

Unfortunately the very impolite waitress told us we can’t stay there if we want to split the dessert- sorry but after visiting many countries I’ve never heard about this politics, especially in such a rude way… after all the owner went outside to us and started to scream at us cursing a lot, when we said we’ve heard enough.
Also, if you don’t know what the culture is I will explain you, it’s normal for people first to go the restroom and wash your hands after coming to the place you want to it. Really terrible place, in 2 minutes walking you will find much better with a...
Read moreThe waitress was extremely rude, we were waiting for 10 minutes for the stuff to order. We found and Italian restaurant and came there dreaming about the good dessert. The girl who barely speaks English told us we HAVE TO LEAVE because in the restaurant you have to order more. Working so many years in my life in the restaurant, visiting so many places and never heard about the politics, that in restaurant you have to eat a lot!
After all the owner came to us outside trying to explain AGAIN it’s a restaurant so we have to order, and cursing to us for being upset about the situation. REALLY...
