Decent value. The Bad: – The toilets aren't the best. The flush wasn't working well. Give it a few or more than few times, then it works well, eventually. Maybe I was unlucky? Intercom to the front desk didnt go through. Don't know if it even works at all. 50-50. Unlucky again? Room had damages on the wall, but regardless, the room was fine. Doesn't bother me,.it was just somewhere in the corner. -Hot water wasn't hot, just neutral water temperature. Confirmed with some other guests too. So please make sure if you are ok with this. -No locker, atleast in my room. My college had a locker in his room. Breakfast wasn´t great, just the bare necessities. Bread, juice, cold meat, more, juice, cereal. Just expected something more, however I sometimes forget,. that this is Europe.
The Good: – The staff, they were super duper friendly..no issues whatsoever. They even swapped out and the new person there was also nice. -The check-in process. And the check-out Process. Super super easy, show your id card and nothing else. No vaccination, no corona test, nothing. Just your ID Card. They take care of the rest. -They held our luggages for us when we arrived early. Nearly for about 8 hours since morning to check-in and about 8 hours after checkout. Yes after checkout. -The Brussels Nord station is extremely close. Catch your train in just 5 mins. This is a big big win, you don't have to rush at all and no morning taxi rides. -It is also extremely close to the city center. Walk across the street and you have a plethora of stores, even the big brands.
Honestly despite the bad, the service is half of the adventure and I love the service. Some of the points in the bad can be adjusted and fixed, but dint bother me tooo much. Just thought other travellers should know.

Read moreIf you're looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly stay in Brussels, Hotel Siru is your go-to! Nestled right next to the Rogier subway station, the location is a dream for both avid explorers and lazy travelers alike. Seriously, if it were any closer to the subway, it would be on the tracks! The rooms are clean and cozy, nothing fancy, but hey, who needs a chandelier when you're just there to crash after a day of waffles and chocolate? The service? Top-notch. The staff are so attentive and friendly, you'd think they mistook you for royalty. They even helped us with directions, dining recommendations, and were quick with extra towels—no need to resort to using the hand towels like makeshift bath sheets. Now, Brussels has a bit of a reputation for being... let's say, 'adventurous.' But don't fret! Despite the city's somewhat sketchy safety stats, we managed to dodge danger like pros. We weren't mugged or robbed—hooray for small victories! We did have a close encounter with a pickpocket, though. Some overly enthusiastic Maghrebi immigrant tried their luck on our first day, but they must have been new at the game. We walked away with all our belongings intact and a story to tell.In conclusion, Hotel Siru is your knight in slightly faded armor, offering a safe, clean, and friendly haven amidst the bustling streets of Brussels. Book your stay, and may your pockets remain as full as your stomach after sampling Brussels'...
Read moreOkay let's start with the pros: literally only one! 1: great location.|Cons: let's start off with the bathroom, disgusting, mold and mildew party in the shower. The curtains probably haven't been changed since last year! It smells musty!!|2.The room has no ventilation and no a/c. So again, it smells musty! I guess you'll get used to it but still..ew. Oh there's windows you can open but beware of the constant sirens and drunks yelling outside (downside of a great location). |3. The housekeeping will knock on your door multiple times early in the morning within an hour unless you put that sign up that says "do not disturb". Very inconvenient.|4. I stayed in room 502 right by the elevator. You hear every conversation under the sun by that elevator.|5. Speaking of the elevator, it's big enough to fit 2 adult humans and maybe 1 large suitcase. Very small and tight and smells musty. Poor ventilation throughout the whole hotel.|6. Very outdated, needs a lot of improvements which certainly I could've done while at my stay there, paint chips here, rust there, cigarette burns there ect.|7. The bed is right by the door (maybe 5 feet apart), I never experienced that in any hotel, it actually seems a bit unsafe.|8. I'll leave it at 7 but just know if you want comfort, cleanliness and quiet stay away. |Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. Hotel siru change your shower curtains and...
