this is my second time here. My first time I had the spicy gochujang sauce fried chicken. I thought it was a delicious. Maybe not 100% authentic, but better than other options i had in belgium. The chicken was crunchy, hot, tender/juicy (I think they use chicken thigh). Sweet sticky sauce too, like I said they make it less spicy (less gochujang) in comparison to korea because people here can't handle it. I would prefer spicier but it is what it is. So it was a unexpectedly good experience. Second time, my sis and I ordered the fried chicken set menu with rice and kimchi with BLUEBERRY BARBECUE sauce (my sis' weird choice, i prefer the authentic flavours). The chicken was delicious again. The sauce was weird but not that bad. It just tasted like a sweet/sour/bbq sauce, a bit more sour and a light blueberry taste. It is very blue. Like I said, a bit weird haha but funny. The kimchi was quite good. They also gave a lot of rice. I'm not sure but I don't think it japanese/korean rice. Good food. I don't think we're going to repeat the blue sauce though. I think that's why the gave the sauce on the side instead of covering the chicken. I suggest they give 2 options for spicy gochujang sauce: one that light spicy and one that is really spicy haha. -1 star for food because it is a bit too pricey for the amount of chicken + u have to pay extra for sauce. Also drinks are so expensive. I can get milkis for 1 euro in asian supermarket in belgium, maybe ask . -1 star for the location inside the station. It is beautiful inside, but not really a place I have dinner with friends. maybe the prices are also high because of the location. So open a new place...
Read moreIt's quite infuriating that you decide for your customers. I ordered to take away. I asked for a portion of sweet potatoes and chicken (kimchi, rice, chicken). The sweet potatoes were not only completely mushy and the portion is not generous, hence YOU DECIDING TO ADD SPICY SAUCE on it, meant I couldn't eat more than half of the portion. I had my reasons to not ask for sauces to add to the chicken, therefore to find it on the sweet potatoes without BEING TOLD in advance, it's quite disrespectful from your waitress.
As mentioned, it was take away, but I had to ask for a bag and bag myself as they were left on the counter the food. I understand your waitress/sales assistant find it tasty to it with sauces, but customers have the right to order whatever is in your list without explaining their private life and the reasons why they don't want to add sauces to their food. I felt she was pushy after I said I didn't want any sauce. The pieces of chicken are small. I came for the kimchi and sadly I regret a bit I came...
Read moreThis little Korean restaurant inside of the Brussels Central station is one that offers a visually cozy place to take your mind away from the fact that you are in a train station with its well thought out interior. It’s an okay spot to eat once in a while when you don’t feel like cooking in the evening before you have to take your train. I say “okay” because this place doesn’t offer a variety of food options and the Korean Fried Chicken tastes like 70% fried dough and 30% chicken. It had a lot of flavor but compared to other Korean Fried Chicken places in Brussels, this one, based on the lack of options and chicken/dough ratio, isn’t amongst the best. The proportions are okay but a bit pricey for the quality of the “fried chicken” that you get. The service is fast and the staff is very young, but friendly. They also regularly clean the tables which is personally a big plus compared to the other places to eat in inside...
