I went there with a friend of mine and It had good food but the service was so bad it’s crazy. They did not say anywhere that debit cards are not allowed and also gave us a lot of attitude when we told them that we only had a debit card. They all acted as if they could not speak English until it was time to pay where they could miraculously speak English. I told them I did not have a credit card or cash- only debit- and suggested that I do a bank transfer. They kept saying they don’t understand and were shouting in my face about how they have so many card options (even though they were all credit card options) and some other customers even stepped in to defend us. Eventually on of the people who worked here suggested a bank transfer(something I suggested 20 mins ago, but was “lost in translation “ even though the person who suggested it suggested it in English.
This place has great food but they do not care about their customers and are too proud to take suggestions that...
Read moreI'll start by giving credit where it is deserved: the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. The wine selection is also decent. But the overall impression is dictated by the quality of the food and that is what I rating (mind you I rarely give low rating). But the pizza here is just not good, especially for this price. It starts with the menu, where many pizzas have very questionable combinations of toppings. The pizza itself is not well seasoned and has very little flavour coming from the base and the cheese - these are essentials which need to be of high quality and this restaurant skimps on these. The dough is at best mediocre. I felt as if I could buy an identical pizza in Delhaize and bake it home. I do not recommend eating here if you really care about the taste and quality of your pizza. Otherwise if you don't, then it is a nice place...
Read moreI rarely rate a restaurant 5* but Pizza Lilo deserves it. Top notch pizzas made with fresh, quality ingredients and baked in a wood fired oven. They have around 20 varieties of pizzas ranging from 9 - 18 euros, a decent wine list with mostly Italian wines and some desserts. Try any of the pizzas made with mozzarella di bufala; they are really good. Like most pizzerias, the atmosphere is fairly casual and caters to locals. It is beautifully decorated with a rustic vibe. The servers are also super friendly and helpful. If you're going on Friday or Saturday evening, make sure to call ahead...
