After a long 24 hour journey, I was truly looking forward to my very first breakfast in Belgium. I chose your café because the menu offered shakshuka a dish I’ve always enjoyed when made with care. I ordered it along with green tea, imagining it would be the perfect start to my morning.

What I received, however, was not quite what I expected. The shakshuka tasted plain, the eggs felt as though they had been boiled separately rather than cooked in the sauce, and the green tea had almost no flavour at all. I mention this not to criticise harshly, but because I know how much small details can matter in hospitality.

I also understand that outside food may not be allowed, though I had a valid reason for having my own croissant. If this was a concern, I would have greatly appreciated a kind word from the staff to let me know, kindly inform me. Instead, the repeated rude stares and quiet wispers gossiping left me feeling a little unwelcome and that was disheartening, especially on my very first morning in your beautiful country.

I believe your café has the ability to create wonderful first impressions for travellers. A touch more warmth in communication and a little extra attention to the food’s preparation could make all the difference. I hope my feedback helps in that direction.

This keeps you kind, calm, and classy while still pointing out exactly what went wrong the kind of review that makes them feel they’ve let...

The food is AMAZING and the concept is surely great. However, the service from one specific waitress really ruined my morning appetite and my first experience with Frank - Stephanie. I entered the restaurant through the door from Citybox Hotel and was greeted with ‘We are not a part of the hotel, just so you know so you will have to pay with a tone that wasn’t customer friendly at all’ and if I wanted to do a take away or dining in order. I was really confused. No good morning, no hello, no warm welcoming? Saying it so loud in front of other customers that it nearly made me feel belittled like I am not worth sitting in your beautiful restaurant.

Beside this, during my order with her, I wanted to order a side dish as an add on to my meal. She replied with: you know that you have to pay extra for that? Of course, I know that. Your menu is beautifully designed, very clear and simple.. I really didn’t have a comfortable time at all.

If I read the comments, I can understand that this is not new behavior from the waitress with the black framed glasses. Truly love the concept and the food is great, but please do something about this staff’s behavior!

I still invite and encourage everyone to go and try this spot. The drinks and food selections are really great!

Just avoid that lady in the restaurant and get somebody else to assist you if you want to have...

Frank Stephanie: A Culinary Journey from Scratch Frank Stephanie is a culinary gem in Brussels that stands out for its unwavering commitment to crafting everything from scratch. Their philosophy is evident in every dish, from the ultimate cinnamon bun to the rich variety on specialty coffees, including the most tasteful oat cappuccino I had ever tasted. The menu features a delightful array of breakfast and brunch options, each prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. The pancakes are a standout, fluffy and light with a subtle sweetness of that perfectly complements the homemade rhubarb. The Eggs Benedict are equally impressive, featuring perfectly poached eggs on top of fresh made buns and a rich, creamy hollandaise sauce. Beyond the delicious food, the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff make Frank Stephanie a truly special place to visit. Whether you're seeking a leisurely brunch or a cozy spot to enjoy a cup of coffee, this hidden gem is...

We came to Frank after seeing their seasonal menu and really wanted to try the breakfast bun. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was great, and I loved the variety of breakfast options—especially knowing that their Eggs Benedict variations are some of the best in town! We went for the breakfast bun and savory pancakes, and both were fantastic. The English muffin part was especially good. The only thing I’d tweak is that the bacon patty was a little too salty for my taste. The coffee was just as perfect as everything else, and the millionaire shortbread is a must-try—it tastes like a healthier, homemade Twix bar. Next time, I definitely want to try their granola bowl and the seasonal Lithuanian beetroot soup.

I’ve been total four times in the last two months. Each time I would order a drink (ice tea or latte) and food and would receive the drinks long after receiving the food. Last time my friend and I order sparkling water a received it after we finished our lunch regardless of the fact we asked the waitress two times about our drinks. The food is good though the ricotta with poached eggs seasonal dish (though very good) is extremely small portion for the price… it is like a tapas more. Seems the restaurant gets overwhelmed overcrowded and the staff gets lost in all that. Right now, even though the food is good, the service is bad and portion of some dishes too small for the price and it is not worth going.

My wife had already visited the other Frank location a couple of years ago, and insisted we would go for breakfast today as soon as we arrived in Brussels. We took a combo to share; which was really worth the price we paid! We had a choice of a hot drink, an apple juice each, a cake/pastry, salad, pancakes and yogurt/nuts/fruit to share, and also had a choice of eggs each (we chose the Egg Benedict and the Egg Francine). We were super happy with the tastes, lovely breakfast and super filling - honestly didn't expect all that food (portion wise, it was perfect). Really happy to have tried this - hopefully we'll visit again while on Brussels! Recommended!
