Culinary Gem in the Heart of Brussels

My recent dining experience at ARION in Brussels was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.

Food: A Symphony of Flavors

The menu at ARION is a testament to culinary excellence. Each dish is crafted with precision and creativity, showcasing the finest ingredients. I started with the burata, which was an explosion of flavors, perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The main course, beef stew, was a highlight – tender, succulent, and seasoned to perfection.

Service: Impeccable and Attentive

The service at ARION is unparalleled. From the moment we were seated, the waitstaff was attentive and accommodating, ensuring that every need was met without being intrusive. They demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of the menu, offering insightful recommendations and pairing suggestions that elevated the dining experience.

Waitstaff: The Best in the Business

Special mention must be made of the waitstaff at ARION . Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail are truly commendable. They went above and beyond to make our visit memorable, and their passion for their work was evident in every interaction.

In conclusion, ARION in Brussels is a must-visit for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. The combination of exquisite food, top-notch service, and the best waitstaff I’ve ever encountered makes it a standout in the vibrant Brussels dining scene. I look forward to my next visit and highly recommend it to anyone looking to indulge in a...

I was staying at Hotel NH across the street.

I had to run up to the room and told my husband that he should grab a cocktail at Arion before dinner, while I went upstairs.

Moments later, he was back in the room saying a server told him he couldn't just have a drink, he had to eat also.

I thought nothing of it and we decided to forget the cocktails and to just have a meal in Grand-Place. We did all kinds of tourist stuff, from having waffles to a delicious dinner at Fin de siecle. YUMMY!

We were done at 9:30 p.m. and walking towards our hotel. I had totally forgotten what happened earlier and walked towards the restaurant suggesting a nightcap to the hubby. As we walked up, the server blocked my husband from entering. He said, "You cannot just have a drink. You have to eat."

I remembered and then apologized and mentioned we are just staying across the street at the hotel. Another employee overheard and said we could go ahead and have a drink.

We were there for no more than 30 minutes and right before we left, I asked a couple nearby how was the food because we had one more day to explore. The woman said she had no idea because they had only been having cocktails at this restaurant during their stay.

I can't tell you why they wouldn't allow us to enter the restaurant without eating, but other patrons...

Myself and my husband came here twice during our stay in Brussels for dinner. Each time we tried a different traditional Belgian dish and some Belgian beer too.

The first time we had: Belgian Meatballs & Muscles and Fries (Moules-Frites) The second time we shared the: Rabbit with Gueuze Beer & Cheese plate

Both times the food was delicious and the service was excellent. This is why we came back during our short stay in Brussels. We were also offered some digestifs on the house which was a lovely gesture.

The atmosphere is lovely, you can sit inside or out and when we did sit outside, they had heating lamps which was lovely.

In Belgium and many other continental European countries, it is considered rude to interrupt people when they are eating so if you are accustomed to the US/UK/Ireland/Canada way of service where they keep stopping to check on you, do not take offence, they are letting you eat in peace. If you need anything just raise your hand or ask them for what you need. This is a general advisory about the service in Europe.

If you are in Brussels, I highly recommend visiting for a meal, I would recommend for dinner to enjoy the great food, especially the traditional Belgian food, great atmosphere with excellent, friendly and...

The service was chaotic: - Lots of waiters but we waited forever for our food. - We received the food even later than newer customers. - They also forgot some of our drinks. - It really seemed like they were not communicating well between them because we were asked 2-3 times the same questions by different waiters each time. Food: The main course was good but nothing extraordinary. As dessert we took the trio sorbet. It turns out to be more chemical ice creams. We were really looking forward to going to this restaurant since they got such a good review online but we were quite disappointed.

In Brussels in transit we selected this restaurant in a quiet street close to shopping for its terrace and its friendly staff welcome From the menu we selected the two course set menu as well as shared one great dessert (tarte tatin!) Food was well presented and had excellent taste Service was friendly and efficient, we even had a chance to chat with the owner/ manager of the restaurant Great value for money Definitely a place where we will return and highly recommended for those after a nice al fresco lunch or dinner in the heart of Brussels
