Extremely unfriendly and impolite
We had dinner at this restaurant. The waiter was nice and professional. Service was quick. The food was average, there are many places in Brussels which serve much better Thai food. The chicken and the duck were clearly frozen, the sauces way too liquid with too much cream and too little taste. This can happen, nobody is perfect. However, the worst part had yet to come. When the guy who appears to be the owner or manager tried to insert my credit card, the machine would not read the card. I indicated that I had just made a payment with the card and that the card worked well. He did not like the comment and started being extremely unfriendly. Instead of trying with the other machine close to him he kept pushing the card in and out and started making inappropriate comments. At the end he unwillingly accepted to try with Bancontact which worked smoothely. As they do not accept Bancontact he was clearly unhappy and had an extremly unfriendly behaviour. I let him know that I did not like his attitude to which he responded with insults. It goes without saying that I will not come back and do not recommend the place. There are tons of good restaurants in Brussels where the owner / manger knows what customer...
Read moreSuch a racist restaurant owner! We got ourselves a table and I requested him to charge my phone. He took my charger broke the pin and then gives it away arguing he can’t do it. When I asked him should I try charging, he pushes away and starts to yell. And he’s like I own the restaurant you have to get out. I have never experienced such a pathetic hospitality in my life. I’ve traveled to many places around the world and thai people are very sweet. But I’m not sure what’s wrong with this guy. Please learn to respect your customers, without whom you are nothing. Disgrace to your profession. I hope you change. For you all you people who care about people facing racism, avoid this restaurant. Let me tell you thing, when someone comes to your restaurant for food and you treat them this way, you will...
Read moreThe food was excellent, but accompanying the meal we ordered 2 beers and 2 glasses of tap water. We were told by the friendly waitress that you cannot drink the tap water in Brussels - we had been drinking it all day with coffee and beer at many other places! Not wanting to make a fuss we ordered a bottle of water which arrived cold and all ready opened? When we paid the bill I could see why they didn't serve tap water. The bottled at €7 cost more than the beer! I raised this as I paid and suddenly the waitress only spoke French and fetched the owner. He went off into a long tirade about Belgium having the highest taxes in Europe in an attempt to justify this policy. To be honest this spoilt the whole evening. The lesson is drink the beer not the water in this place, and whatever you do...
