PONTIMA THAI FOOD HOUSE — Restaurant in Ghent

Owners are incredibly friendly and lovely people to chat to. My friend and I stumbled upon this place while walking and it was the best decision we took on our trip of Ghent.

We ordered spring Rolls, Tom kha gai soup and green curry. Spring rolls were nice and crisp and freshly made, nearly burnt myself from the hot insides. Soup was impeccably creamy and the coconut milk balanced the spices really well. Green curry was also great (be sure to order it Thai Style spicy) and the tasted great with the rice. Overall a great place to eat at in Ghent and it absolutely made our night. Will visit again whenever I'm back.

I had a great meal at Pontima while visiting Ghent. The food was delicious and tasted like real authentic home cooked Thai. The green curry and satay chicken skewers were incredible. The service was also quick, my waitress was so kind. We had a really good conversation as I was leaving. I forgot my AirPods at the table, she ran outside to find me as I was leaving to give them back. I will definitely make a point to go back next time I’m in town to try more...

We went for dinner and expected to eat the menu we want, turned out that we had to order “set menu” which cost €38 minimum per person and you get just 1 small plate of appetizer + 1 main dish (have only 3 choices).
