Disappointing.

Went there with high expectations as Google Reviews tells us the restaurant is rated at 4,7 Stars. I simply cannot put it in words how off this rating is.

To be frank, the restaurant looks nice and all, but as soon as we (my Girlfriend and I) wanted to order, we knew something was off. The staff were really unfriendly and seemed as if they didn’t even want to take our order. We’re assuming this happened because we aren’t locals and do not speak french or dutch.

Although our food came reasonably quickly, we were disappointed at first sight. The pasta with tomatoes and paprika (Pic 1) promised to be creamy in the menu. As you can clearly see, the “creaminess” is nowhere to be seen. Watery would be the fitting word. Furthermore we added Mozzarella-Balls for 1,50€ as a topping. What did we get? Mere 4 Mini Balls. Nothing more, nothing less.

The pasta with Tomatoes and Ricotta (Pic 2) wasn’t better in any way. Watery, unseasoned and simply dull. We ordered extra Parmesan on that pasta, because we assumed there was no cheese on the pasta if you didn’t order it extra. We were clearly wrong. For some reason there was a handful of Emmental Cheese on either pasta (this was never mentioned on the menu).

To sum it all up - pretty disappointing. Especially for the Price. Each Pasta was at least 13€ and we paid a total of 37€ for two pastas and two cokes. Could’ve cooked the same meal (but better tasting) for...

We entered the restaurant because there was a sign that implied students would get 15% off, which apparently was not the case as according to the owner, the sale was only for belgian students - which was not made clear in the first place. We wanted to order a pasta with salmon, but the owner did not want to make it for us because ”she had to make the sauce from scratch” so she implied we should order something easier to make. When we had to think about what to order instead, she was very impatient. I ordered diabolique and I didnt realize I had to order it with scampi separately. Confused, I asked the owner about the scampi and she explained that she thought I didn’t want scampi, so she didn’t bother to ask, and blamed it on me for not noticing, and to be fair, it was my fault for not noticing, but she should’ve been clearer. She also asked if I wanted ”a little bit of parmesan” on the dish, not telling us that it would cost an extra two euros. The whole interaction felt like she was blaming the customer, which came off as very rude. The food was fine, the portions were filling and the meals came fast. The restaurant was...

We were unfortunately very disappointed by the food at this place - and since it has good reviews here on Google maps. First, we had ordered a carbonara, but turns out we got a quattro formaggi, and second the sauces just had no flavor or artificial flavor to them. The bolognese came with some grated cheese (probably Emmentaler or so) unfortunately that’s not mentioned on the menu and therefore extra Parmesan was ordered extra, which came in big chunks on top of the pasta. In short, I would describe the fusilli and sauce as something a teenager would cook at home alone and who had never had good Italian pasta dishes. Nonetheless, the lady who worked there was kind and attentive...

For us an intermediate of a restaurant and a take away. Pasta (obviously Fusilli only) drops fresh out of the pasta maker. Varieties of meals available with lot of veggie options, but not too many to make your choice too complicated. Sodas and small bottles of wine come out of the help-yourself-refrigerator under the checkout desk. Order was prepared pretty quickly (I'd guess <10min.) and taste was decent. Just be prepared for a heap of grated Emmental cheese that sits on top of your pasta. If you don't like - what we've been told is the Belgian way too have pasta - then make a shout out during ordering. All in all good value for money, quick and with no downsides.

Didn’t know what to eat in Gent, we were super hungry, and just want to eat, lol Quick search, and we found this restaurant nearby… all by chance! The food was very good, past is fresh, took leas than 5 min to have the meals. It tastes 8/10, we tried 4 different dishes. The portions is good for the money, but if you are hungry, a meal is not enough. If I am in Gent again, and want to eat past, I will go again.
