WASBAR — Restaurant in Ghent

I have been here twice until now, to wash and dry my clothes. The first experience was pleasant. However, during my second visit the lady at the counter (the one with the red hair), was very UNPLEASANT and acted as if she owned the place. After keeping my clothes in the washing machine, I came to the reception/bill desk to ask whether I needed to pay then or later.. to which she replied "IT'S UPTO ME" and gave a VERY COLD AND UNPLEASANT expression (as if I wasn't allowed to be there).. So, I told her that I'd pay later after my wash and dry cycle is over..

I came back later, (after about 1.5 hours) to remove my clothes from the washing machine and place them in the dryer. After having done that, I was about to leave the salon when this very unpleasant lady CAME RUNNING FROM BEHIND and ASKED WHETHER I PAID FOR THE WASH AND DRY CYCLE???!!! I MEAN REALLYY??!! .... (BTW All this while (when I was putting my clothes in the dryer), she kept looking at me as if I came there to steal something from the store and was running away!!!!!).. I made it clear to her that my clothes were in the dryer and that I will come back and pay later.. She just rolled her eyes and said "okay"...

Do you really think that this kind of attitude is gonna help??!! I mean due to this pandemic, half of the businesses are suffering!! On top of that, when you employ such snobbish people, who ruin your brand's name by being SO UNWELCOMING AND RUDE!!!, means end of the road for you guys at WASBAR!!

BTW, I HAVE BEEN TO THE WASBAR AT KORENMARKT AND NEVER HAVE I FACED SUCH ISSUES THERE!! Its high time you revise and rethink your...

On paper this place is awesome, do laundry and eat fresh food while you wait. In practice it is awful.

Came to do laundry at 9:30am, and wasn't able to leave until 2:30pm. Of the 3 washing machines, only 1 was working. That washing machine is also not an industrial machine, so it takes ~2 hours or more for a cycle. And the dryers. After 2:30 hours my clothes were still soaked. So the "Was" part of "Wasbar" is 0 of 5 stars, as you absolutely cannot expect to come here, do laundry, eat an leave. Also you can't leave your laundry or somebody will unload it and dump it to the side. Ended up having to haul all my wet and heavy clothes to an actual laundromat which finished the job for about 2 euros.

The food is also meh. Not good, not terrible. Not worth the price.

I will say that the staff was lovely though, so it's not on them. But whoever owns this place needs to either get actual commercial washing machines and dryers or rename themselves to Mehbutfreshbar or something.

Meh, sadly I was looking forward to the beatrix bagel which is had before and was very nice. However I do not like the saus on the bagel. Therefor I wanted to order it without the saus which I did before and I would think is not that strange or to much “extra” work. However it apartently was because my server told me I could not order it without the saus. She said the kitchen is to busy. I think it is very disappointing since like I said at the other establishment in gent it was possible without problem.
