We went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday, as I was already a regular customer. When we arrived, I politely asked if we could keep the birthday cake in their fridge. To my surprise, they told us they would charge €5 per person just for serving a dessert we brought from outside. Absolutely ridiculous!
I explained that it was a birthday celebration and that it’s perfectly normal to bring a cake since they don’t make them themselves. Their response? That we could simply buy a tiramisu from them instead. Who celebrates a birthday with a tiramisu ? In the end, we paid €5 per person for a slice of cake — it ended up costing more than the actual cake itself!
Completely unacceptable and disappointing behaviour. Definitely not a place I would recommend for any kind of celebration. How greedy people can be?????!!!!
After restaurant’s reply :
There was absolutely no safety reason involved! The cake was sealed and from a well-known bakery. The only reason was pure greed.
I have celebrated birthdays in many places, and never — NEVER — has anyone asked me to pay €5 per person to serve a cake that I brought because they are " selling their own tiramisu " and we could " celebrate our birthday with their tiramisu " …
This is a greedy and heartless policy. Restaurants should have some personality and know how to handle situations with a bit of kindness and common sense. We should not support places whose only goal is money and nothing else.

Read moreI visited Frasca with high hopes for a cozy Italian dining experience in Brussels, but unfortunately, it was bad. Don’t ever bring your Italian friends here.
The restaurant's decor felt extremely cheap with uncomfortable chairs and cheap tables. Additionally, the state of the bathroom in the basement, well, it was dirty and very very poorly maintained.
The food, which should have been the highlight at an Italian restaurant, wasn’t anything special. The dishes lacked the depth and quality, and even the presentation was marred by the use of cracked plates, which didn't help the overall dining experience.
I was really hoping for a place where comfort and quality food go hand in hand, but Frasca wasn't that place. There are other much better dining options in Brussels for Italian cuisine and I will definitely not...
Read moreI booked a table for 3 people 4 days in advance requesting a comfortable table in the notes given that my mother is a large elderly lady. When we arrived at the restaurant we were given a high snack bar with stools. I kindly asked the restaurant to be able to change tables and give us one of the two normal tables available but the only solution that was proposed to us was to sit at a normal table and then get up after 30 minutes to leave the table for the next reservation . The restaurateur appeared completely disinterested, presumptuous and arrogant. I had to leave the restaurant and look for another one on a Friday evening at 8.30pm. An unpleasant experience that has certainly created a negative record for a restaurant that I will not try....
