Pullman — Restaurant in Ixelles - Elsene

We had a very disappointing experience. After placing our order, we waited for 20 minutes before being told that one of the dishes we ordered was no longer available. When I politely asked why it took so long to inform us—especially since we were waiting with a small baby—the waitress responded rudely and dismissively. She didn’t even bring the menu back so we could choose an alternative dish. This level of service is unprofessional and disrespectful, and it really spoiled what was meant to be a pleasant outing. We also got billed incorrectly and please avoid the toilet at all cost - discussing level...

The menu was only available in French and… English (that the menu is in English too is fine and probably a must have near the EU quarter), but: no Dutch, no German (the two other official languages next to French in this country in the “heart of Europe”). Prices: highly exaggerated. The waitress only spoke broken English, result: she didn’t bring the dishes we ordered (and even showed her on the menu). Maybe it’s a nice place for “EU folks” only wanting to get drunk after “work”, missing out the nicer places in Brussels. But that’s okay as well, at least the prices there...

Extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience. When I tried to order in English, the woman staff flatly refused and told me to “speak French.” This happened in Brussels, an international city where many people speak multiple languages. It felt like they understood me but chose to ignore me. Even my friend, who spoke in French, was treated coldly and sometimes ignored.
